In order to meet the trend of network development and customer needs, ZTE has launched a new generation of urban optical network product ZXMP M720 based on OTN/WASON. The ZXMP M720 is positioned at the metropolitan access aggregation layer and can also be applied to the core layer and provincial trunk line layer.
The ZXMP M720 has the ability to aggregate, cross, and transmit multiple services, supporting multi-level and three-dimensional dynamic traffic diversion. The ZXMP M720 (ROADM, ODUk electrical cross, L2 switching) can provide operators with efficient, flexible, and intelligent data transmission solutions.

Can access optical signals in various formats including STM-N, POS, ATM, GE, 10 GE, FC, ESCON, FICON, DVB, etc.
Intelligent three-dimensional business scheduling and guidance capabilities
Supporting WASON, in conjunction with ROADM, OTN electrical crossover technology, and L2 switching technology, an intelligent multi-level business guidance system has been constructed;
ROADM provides optical cross connection, suitable for cross ring interconnection and Mesh networking, and offers flexible optical layer scheduling. Support 2-10 dimensional flexible wavelength level scheduling capability;
Based on the OTN distributed electrical cross platform, it can provide cross scheduling based on ODU0, enabling flexible scheduling of GE. It can provide network traffic aggregation and guidance in complex topology environments in urban areas, fully utilize wavelength channels, and achieve higher wavelength utilization efficiency;
The L2 switching platform supports bandwidth convergence from 24 GE and 1 10GE to 1 10GE, and supports L2 switching functions such as VLAN and QinQ; Thus effectively improving the carrying efficiency of data services.

The ZXMP M720 single rack is 6U high and can accommodate 6 sub racks. The single rack has 14 business board slots, effectively saving data center area and power consumption, significantly reducing operation and maintenance costs.
DWDM configuration:
An OTM node composed of a single subrack (6U high) can achieve 8 × 10Gbit/s or 16 × 2.5Gbit/s transmission;
The OTM node composed of 4 sub frames can achieve 40 × 10G transmission.
CWDM configuration:
A single sub rack (6U high) OTM node can achieve 9 waves of 2.5Gbit/s transmission;
The OTM node composed of 2 sub frames can achieve transmission of 2.5Gbit/s for all 18 wavelengths of CWDM.
Large transmission capacity and modular upgrade capability
Can be configured with 40 DWDM wavelengths and 18 CWDM wavelengths that comply with ITU-T specifications, and supports modular upgrades in units of 4 waves;
The large transmission capacity can fully meet the bandwidth requirements of the metropolitan area network, while the modular upgrade method ensures low investment in the initial stage of network construction and smooth expansion in the later stage, thereby alleviating the financial pressure of network construction.
