The conical end cap of the rod mill has a small curvature, which allows the steel rod to move regularly inside the mill;

Under normal circumstances, the feed particle size range of the rod mill is 20~30mm, and the product particle size can generally reach 0~3mm;
The rod mill grinds the material along the entire length of the steel rod, with uniform force and uniform product particle size, and less over crushing phenomenon.
Working principle | Process diagram of wet rod mill The rod mill is driven to rotate by a motor through a reducer and peripheral large gears, or by a low-speed synchronous motor directly through peripheral large gears. The cylinder is equipped with a suitable grinding medium - steel rod. Under the action of centrifugal force and frictional force, the grinding medium is lifted to a certain height and falls in a throwing or releasing state. The ground material continuously enters the interior of the cylinder through the feeding port, is crushed by the moving grinding medium, and is discharged from the machine through overflow and continuous feeding force for the next process operation. The discharge method of the rod mill is the overflow type and open discharge method. The diameter of the hollow shaft neck at the discharge end is larger than that of the ball mill of the same specification. Generally, in the case where the ore is not too hard or soft (especially for ores with high viscosity), the rod mill can replace the short head cone crusher for fine crushing operations. When processing ore of 19-30mm to 6-12 mesh, the configuration is simpler and the cost is lower than that of the cone crusher and sieve in a closed circuit. |
