Under neutral conditions and in the presence of an oxidant, the tested sample undergoes high-temperature and high-pressure reactions, resulting in the oxidation of lead ions in different forms and valence states. In a strongly alkaline solution, lead ions react with a chromogenic reagent to form a yellow green complex, which has maximum absorption at a specific wavelength. The total lead content in the sample to be tested is calculated by photoelectric colorimetry.
