1、 Process Description
The VTA series fully automatic water softener is a standard configuration product of our company. It adopts a fixed single-layer bed process and downstream regeneration. When the water softener is working, the source water passes through the resin layer from top to bottom, and the Ca2+and Mg2+in the water are continuously adsorbed and removed by the ion exchange resin. The Na+in the ion exchange resin is continuously precipitated, thereby softening the raw water. When the effluent reaches a certain amount, the ion exchange resin will be saturated with Ca2+Mg2+ions and become ineffective, losing its exchange capacity. It must be shut down for regeneration.
When regenerating, it is required to first backwash the resin layer to remove suspended solids and other impurities that may be intercepted by the upper resin layer, while also loosening the resin layer. Then salt is introduced from the upper part of the resin tank, and the regenerated waste liquid is discharged through the lower discharge. During the process of entering the salt, the high concentration of Na+in the salt water replaces the Ca2+Mg2+ions adsorbed by the failed resin, and is discharged together with the regenerated waste liquid to achieve the purpose of activating the resin. After the salt absorption is completed, replace the concentrated salt water in the resin layer with about one to two times the volume of water. Finally, perform a positive washing process to thoroughly remove any residual salt solution from the resin layer. During the regeneration process, the concentrated salt solution is automatically drawn in through an injector and mixed to a predetermined concentration before being sent to the exchanger. The concentration of the regeneration agent can be freely adjusted through a valve.
The entire soft water system adopts fully automatic control, with flow control at the end of operation and downstream regeneration. The working status of each tank is as follows: operation → regeneration (backwashing, salt absorption, replacement, positive washing) → operation.
The salt system is an important component of the water softener, and its operational reliability directly affects the quality of the equipment's effluent water and the periodic water production.
2、 Process characteristics
1. The water softener adopts fully automatic control. After being debugged by experienced water treatment engineers, there is no need for dedicated personnel to supervise, greatly reducing equipment operation failures caused by human factors. Regularly adding salt to the salt tank on site can maintain the stable operation of the equipment.
2. We use our company's dedicated controller JMA multi valve controller to achieve modular control of the equipment. A greatly simplified control program for the control system. And the setting and operation of the controller do not require professional engineers, basically achieving "foolproof" operation of the equipment.
3. The control valve adopts pneumatic/hydraulic diaphragm valve, which has stable and reliable performance and long service life. Greatly reduces circuit failures caused by valves.
4. The salt system adopts advanced technology of automatic salt suction by injectors and salt valve automation, which reduces the operation and operating costs of the salt system.
3、 Component Description
1. Controller (left in the figure below): The JMA multi valve controller receives flow signals. When the effluent flow rate of a single tank reaches the set value, the JMA controller drives the diaphragm valve to achieve the regeneration process. Two JMA controllers can be interlocked to prevent simultaneous regeneration of two tanks and ensure uninterrupted water supply to the equipment.
2. Flow sensor (right in the above picture): used in conjunction with JMA for flow measurement. When the water flow drives the turbine to rotate, a magnetic pulse signal is generated, which is transmitted to the JMA controller by the probe on the flow meter, and the JMA multi valve controller of the tank is activated to achieve the regeneration process. The flow sensor is made of engineering plastic, with good strength, long service life, and corrosion resistance.
3. Pneumatic/Hydraulic Diaphragm Valve (as shown below): The valve material is engineering plastic, with excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and long service life.
4. Injector: The injector is installed on the regeneration pressure water outlet pipeline, and uses the siphon principle generated by the positive and negative pressure difference to suck salt water into the softening tank. It is made of UPVC material and has good corrosion resistance.
5. Resin tank body:High quality fiberglass tank body is used, with high strength and good corrosion resistance. The equipment is lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, easy to install and maintain, and has a long service life.
6. Ion exchange resin: forC100E styrene based strong salt cation exchange resinIt has a high work exchange capacity, uniform resin particle size, good physical and chemical stability, and uniform hydraulic distribution during operation.
7. Salt metering box: Made of PE material, equipped with salt grates and salt wells inside, which facilitates the normal operation of the salt valve. There is a drainage outlet at the bottom of the salt tank for the purpose of cleaning the salt tank.
8. Equipment body pipeline: UPVC pipeline is used. Easy to install and aesthetically pleasing in appearance.
