Product details

1、 Product Features
The iron and manganese removal filter is mainly used to remove iron and manganese substances in the system and purify water quality; It can also be used for decolorization and deodorization of water.

2、 Scope of application
Used for food, beverage, papermaking, brewing industry, treatment of water with excessive iron content, removal of iron from groundwater and well water as drinking water, geothermal engineering, and circulating water in swimming pools.

3、 Product Features
1. The unique multi filter chamber structure enables online backwashing (simultaneous filtration, drainage, and backwashing).
2. Energy saving: The water is directly supplied to the pipeline network without the need for a secondary water supply system; It has its own backwash function and does not require a separate backwash water pump.
3. Water saving: This equipment adopts a "plum blossom water distributor" to shorten the distance between the filter layer and the water distribution pipe, which can save a lot of backwash water.

4、 Technical parameters
1. Processing effect:
①. Iron content: ≤ 0.3mg/L;
②. Manganese content: ≤ 0.1mg/L;
③. Turbidity of effluent:< 3FTU.
2. Water inlet requirements:
①. Iron content: ≤ 20mg/L;
②. Manganese content: ≤ 3mg/L;
③. Inlet turbidity:< 20FTU;
④. Alkalinity: ≤ 2mg/L;
⑤ PH value:>6.0 (for iron removal),>7.5 (for manganese removal).
3. Working environment parameters:
①. Working temperature: 5-60 ℃ (special temperature can be customized);
②. Work pressure: ≤ 0.6MPa.
4. Operating parameters:
①. Working mode: pressure based;
②. Operation mode: Water flow from top to bottom, in series (high iron and manganese content) or parallel;
③. Filtration speed: 6-10m/h (for iron removal), 5-8m/h (for manganese removal);
④. Operating cycle: Depending on the quality of the raw water, the minimum duration should not be less than 8 hours;
⑤. Backwashing method: water washing, or a combination of air and water backwashing;
⑥. Backwash time: 10-15 minutes;
⑦. Backwash water consumption: 1-3%;
⑧. Backwash strength: 15-20L/s • m2.

5、 Working principle
The iron and manganese removal filter consists of an aeration device and a manganese sand filtration tank; Using oxidation method to oxidize low valent iron ions and low valent manganese ions in water into high valent iron ions and high valent manganese ions, and then removing them through adsorption filtration to reduce the iron and manganese content in water.
Process flow
Aeration → Contact oxidation → Adsorption filtration → Backwashing

6、 Oxidation method

1. Jet aerator is generally used in projects with low flow rates and low iron and manganese content, with the advantage of lower cost;
2. The principle of the Nicolney pump is similar to that of a jet injector, mainly through the large circulation of the Nicolney pump to suck in air for oxidation;
3. Tower aeration is generally used in projects with high flow rates and high iron and manganese content. The oxygen provided by the fan is in full contact with water inside the tower, and the tower is filled with multiple hollow spheres, increasing the specific surface area of water;
4. Blast aeration is generally used in high flow systems such as tap water, with high iron and manganese content, high cost, and high operating cost;
