Function: The purification column is filled with UP nuclear grade mixed bed resin produced by Rohm and Haas in the United States and Sanyang Company in South Korea. When pure water passes through the purification column, cations in the water are replaced with H+ions in the cation resin, and anions in the water are replaced with OH - ions in the anion resin. After exchange, H+and OH - ions entering the water immediately combine to form H2O, thereby removing anions and cations from the raw water. The highest water resistance rate at the outlet can reach 18.25M Ω· cm.

In theory, the maximum specific resistance value of deionized water is 18.25M Ω· cm (0.01cm-1) at 250C.

remarks:

(1) The ion exchange method has a low removal rate for silicon/boron, and for projects such as geological and mineral testing that are sensitive to silicon/boron, processes such as electric desalination EDI or two-stage RO can be considered for silicon/boron removal.

(2) Resin cannot be dehydrated and stored for a long time (10-20 days in summer), which may lead to a decrease in resin exchange capacity due to microbial growth. UP ultrapure water (2-3 liters/time) should be regularly collected (10 days in summer and 20 days in winter) to wash away bacteria and other microorganisms.

(3) The purification column resin is made of discarded nuclear grade resin, which has a much higher exchange capacity than the domestically produced regenerated resin used in the laboratory in the past. Non washable nuclear grade resin is not suitable for regeneration. Even with complete regeneration conditions, its regeneration effect is poor, and the water production resistivity is difficult to stabilize at 15-18.25M Ω. cm.
