The UV aging testing machine can simulate the hazards caused by sunlight, rainwater, and dew on materials. UV uses fluorescent ultraviolet (UV) lamps to simulate the effect of sunlight exposure, and utilizes cold simulated moisture in rainwater and dew. The tested material is placed in a cyclic program of alternating light and moisture at a certain temperature for testing. UV testing for several days or weeks can reproduce the hazards that occur outdoors for months to years. The types of hazards include fading, discoloration, loss of gloss, powdering, cracking, turbidity, foaming, brittleness, strength degradation, and oxidation.
