Technical principle:
The UP-CYY-IV fully automatic infrared spectrophotometer consists of fully automatic operating software, infrared spectroscopy system, and magnetic stirring extraction system. It uses extraction solvents (CCl4 or C2Cl4) at a certain extraction ratio and adopts drum type three-dimensional stirring technology to extract oil from water. The extraction solution is then filtered through a filtering device to remove water and impurities and introduced into a colorimetric dish. Next, the infrared spectroscopy system is used for analysis and measurement. If a dedicated magnesium silicate filtration device is installed, it can also measure the content of petroleum and animal and vegetable oils. After measurement, the instrument automatically discharges waste and cleans the pipeline. The entire process is automated, without the need for operators to come into contact with carbon tetrachloride, including automatic sampling, extraction, water and impurity removal, measurement, cleaning, drainage, and data storage.
According to the HJ637-2012 national standard, magnetic stirring extraction is used to extract oil substances from water using carbon tetrachloride. Then, an oil-water separation membrane is used instead of anhydrous sodium sulfate to isolate impurities and moisture, separating the solution of oil and carbon tetrachloride, and determining the total oil content of the extract. At the same time, the extract can be adsorbed with magnesium silicate, and after removing polar substances such as animal and vegetable oils, petroleum can be determined. The total extract and petroleum content were calculated based on the absorbance A2930, A2960, and A3030 at spectral bands with wave numbers of 2930 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH2 group), 2960 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH3 group), and 3030 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in aromatic ring), respectively. The content of animal and vegetable oils is calculated based on the difference between the total extract and petroleum content.
