GX1034: Standard reference PXI board used for testing systems

  • Voltage, frequency, and resistance standards
  • Onboard EEPROM ensures standard traceability and accuracy
  • Built in current source and DC test source for system self-test
  • Built in self-test system

overview

GX1034 provides PXI system designers with the ability to develop system re authentication policies using only internal system resources. By incorporating GX1034 as part of the system configuration, a system accuracy verification strategy can be developed to re authenticate the system's source and measurement baseband instruments - simplifying support/maintenance and improving system availability.

The GX1034 standard demonstrates excellent long-term stability, with absolute accuracy achieved through the use of on-board EEROM, and includes NIST plasticity calibration values with low source and resistance standards. This module also includes sources and measurement sources, which can be used to support system self-test functions, including continuity verification and instrument function verification.

application

  • Re certification of instruments within the system
  • System accuracy verification program
  • System self-test program

characteristic

GX1034 provides DC voltage source reference, AC voltage source reference, 8 low drift resistors, and precision 10MHz frequency reference. DC and AC sources provide up to 9V voltage, including a 30-year resistive voltage divider network for output level attenuation. The resistance reference includes 4-wire 1, 10, and 100 Ω impedances, and 2-wire 1K, 10K, 100K, 1M, and 10M Ω resistance values. The 10MHz frequency reference adopts a high stability, constant temperature crystal oscillator, and can also provide lower frequency through a 24 bit frequency divider.

10MHz output and frequency divider output can drive a 50 Ω load. Additionally, when the module is installed in slot 2 of the PXI chassis, it can serve as the clock source for the PXI backplane. Additional features include 0-20mA current source; 16 bits A to D, used for measuring voltages up to 10V and monitoring the operating temperature of the board. The board also includes a signal multiplexer, which provides the ability to connect 2 and 4-wire sources to the output connector of the board. All voltage sources, resistance standards, clock division outputs, and inputs from A to D are isolated and floating from the PXI bus to ensure a low-noise environment and minimize the possibility of grounding loops affecting overall accuracy and performance.

Programming and Software

This board enhances the 32-bit DLL driver, supports access to various interface files from programming tools to DLLs, and supports programming languages such as ATEasy LabVIEW、C/C++、Microsoft Visual Basic ®、 Delphi, etc. The available virtual panel can be used to interactively adjust and control the instrument from the window to display the current settings and measurements of the instrument. Online help files and PDF user guides provide documentation that includes installation, usage, and board programming instructions.
