Brief introduction

Speyer portable iron meterFerroCheck2100 is mainly used for detecting the total amount of ferromagnetic particles in various lubricating oils and greases. It has a built-in high-sensitivity magnetic sensor that can detect the concentration of ferromagnetic particles at the micrometer to millimeter level within 30 seconds.

The detection results of FerroCheck are consistent with those of the oil spectrometer.

A certain F1 team tracked and sampled its engines, using SpectrOil oil spectrometer and FerroCheck 2000 for testing, and obtained correlation analysis data.From the two graphs, it can be seen that as the distance increases, the trend of the total number of ferromagnetic particles is the same. At around 2600km, there is a significant increase in the total number of ferromagnetic particles. So both methods can be used for elemental particle analysis. However, the detection accuracy of oil spectrometers is limited by the size of abrasive particles in the analyzed oil sample. When the particle size exceeds 3-8 microns (with varying degrees of restriction for different elements), the reliability of the analysis results of traditional oil spectrometers decreases. But for some heavy equipment, such as large gearboxes and bearings, they will produce approximately 10um of abrasive particles in the early stages of wear. It is obvious that the traditional oil spectrometer has significantly reduced its ability to monitor this wear state. 3、 The process of grease testing


1. Apply sufficient lubricating grease to the testing dish;

2. Scrape flat with a scraper to remove excess lubricating grease;

3. Insert the detection dish into the protective cover;

4. Insert the grease detection dish into the specialized lubricant detection dish;

5. Start testing;

6. Display the test results.
