1. Chlorination: In order to reduce microorganisms in raw water, chlorine is usually added as a biocide.
2. Condensation and clarification: In order to turn suspended solids and other impurities into large sediment particles and settle them as soon as possible, an appropriate amount of coagulant can be added to the raw water container, which can achieve good results. The processing objects of agglomeration are fine particle suspensions and colloids.
3. Multi media filtration: Different particle sizes of quartz sand are used and placed in ascending order from bottom to top. For raw water with high iron and manganese content, manganese sand is used as filter material. When the raw water passes through the filter material, most of the suspended solids are adsorbed by the filter material. At the same time, the thin film formed on the surface of the filter material increases the flow resistance, thereby enhancing the filtration accuracy.
4. Deep filtration: Using wound honeycomb filter and sintered filter for deep filtration, it can intercept particles larger than 1 μ m, effectively remove gelatinous and suspended solids, and has iron removal effect.
5. Adsorption: Adsorption is a method of using porous solid substances to remove one or more harmful substances from water by adsorbing them onto the surface of the solid. The objects removed by adsorption method include organic matter, colloids, microorganisms, free chlorine, odors, and pigments. The commonly used adsorbents are activated carbon or macroporous adsorption resin.
6. Softening treatment: Softening usually uses two methods: one is to add chemicals to convert calcium and magnesium into salts with low solubility and remove them; The second method is to use ion exchange resin to release sodium ions and replace them with calcium and magnesium ions in water, thereby converting calcium and magnesium salts into sodium salts and achieving the purpose of softening water.
