The actuator can be driven by all control systems that are powered by AC 24 V SELV/PELV (SK... 82...) or AC 230 V (SK... 32...) and run with a 3-bit control signal.

Principle of electric hydraulic actuator

There is voltage on Y1: Pump (6) pushes hydraulic oil from reservoir (4) into pressure chamber (5), resulting in stroke: valve stem (10) contracts and valve head (11) opens.
There is voltage on Y2: the bypass valve (8) is open, allowing hydraulic oil to flow back from the pressure chamber (5) to the reservoir (4) through the reset spring (7). The valve stem (10) extends and the valve head (11) closes.
There is no voltage on Y1 or Y2: the actuator and valve remain in the current travel position.
There is voltage on Y2: the bypass valve (8) is open, allowing hydraulic oil to flow back from the pressure chamber (5) to the reservoir (4) through the reset spring (7). The valve stem (10) extends and the valve head (11) closes.
There is no voltage on Y1 or Y2: the actuator and valve remain in the current travel position.
Spring reset function
SKB32.51, SKB82.51 (U), SKC32.61, and SKC82.61 (U) actuators have a spring reset feature. If the power is cut off, the bypass valve opens for one second and the spring resets. Spring reset returns the actuator to the "0%" stroke position, closes the valve, and meets the safety requirements of DIN 32730.
