Ordering and Delivery
When placing an order, please indicate the product name and reference model, for example:
Duct type temperature sensor QFM2120
Install the flange and wire connection sealing tube M16 together with the sensor for supply.
Equipment combination
All systems or devices are capable of acquiring and processing DC 0... 10 V or 4... 20 mA, LG Ni 100 or T1 output signals from sensors.
When using passive temperature sensors for averaging, we recommend using the SEZ220 signal converter (Technical Data N5146)
function
relative humidity
The sensor obtains the relative humidity value inside the air duct by changing the capacitance value of the sensing element as a function of humidity.
The electronic measurement circuit converts the sensor signal into a continuous DC 0-10V signal, corresponding to a relative humidity of 0-100%.
temperature
The sensor obtains the temperature value inside the air duct by changing the resistance value of the sensing element as a function of temperature.
This value is converted into an output signal of DC 0... 10V or 4... 20mA based on different temperature measurement ranges of 0... 50 ° C, -35...+35 ° C, or -40... 70 ° C. The measurement range can be selected.
Mechanical Design
-The air duct temperature sensor includes a housing, printed circuit board, connection terminal, mounting flange, and immersion rod with a measuring device. The modular housing includes a base and a detachable panel (threaded connection). The measurement circuit and setting components are located on the printed circuit board inside the panel, while the connection terminals are on the base.
-The sensing element is located at the end of the measuring device and is protected by a filter cap.
-The wire connection is made by connecting the M16 wire carried by the sensor to the sealed tube (IP 54) and fixing it inside the housing with screws.
-The immersion rod and shell are made of plastic and tightly connected.
-The sensor is installed through the accompanying mounting flange. Insert the flange into the immersion rod and fix it according to the required immersion length.
Component settings
Set the position of the component inside the panel. It includes 6 pins and a short plug. It is used to select the desired temperature measurement range and activate testing functions.

• Used for active temperature measurement range:
Left position short plug (R1)=-35...+35 ° C
Middle position short plug (R2)=0... 50 ° C (factory setting)
Short plug on the right side (R3)=-40... 70 ° C
• Used to activate testing functions:
Short plug in horizontal position: The signal output will display the value of the test function activation.
error
If the temperature sensor malfunctions, after 60 seconds, the temperature signal output terminal U2 (I2) will show 0V (4mA), while the humidity signal output U1 (I1) will reach 10V (20mA)
If the humidity sensor malfunctions, the humidity signal output terminal U1 (I1) will reach 10 V (20 mA) after 60 seconds, while the temperature signal remains normal.
Engineering precautions
To power the sensor, a safe weak current transformer with a separate coil is required. When selecting and protecting transformers, local safety regulations must be followed.
When choosing the size of the transformer, consideration should be given to the power consumption of the air duct temperature sensor.
If you need to wire the sensor correctly, please refer to the sensor technical documentation.
The length of the wire should be within the allowable range.
Cable routing and cable selection
When laying cables, it must be noted that the longer the cable is laid side by side and the smaller the spacing, the greater the electromagnetic interference.
In environments with EMC issues, shielded protective cables must be used.
Twisted pair cables must be used in secondary power supply lines and signal lines.
Installation precautions
position
The sensor should be installed in the middle section of the air duct. If the sensor is shared with a steam humidifier, the shortest distance between them is 3 meters and the longest is no more than 10 meters.
If dew point temperature drift is also involved, the sensor must be installed in the exhaust duct.
Attention
The seal between the shells cannot be removed, otherwise the protection level of IP 65 cannot be guaranteed.
The sensing elements of the sensor head are very sensitive, avoiding excessive vibration or other effects during installation.
Installation Instructions
Installation instructions are printed on the packaging of the sensor
Debugging precautions
Before switching on or off the power supply, check the circuit. If necessary, the temperature measurement range of the sensor should be selected.
