Function and Scope of Application
Syc-uhz-15 magnetic float level gauge (hereinafter referred to as the level gauge). Widely used for liquid level measurement of various pressure (or open) storage equipment (towers, cylinders, tanks, spherical containers, and boilers) in industrial processes, it can also display the height of liquid level changes on-site, and with the help of a liquid level transmitter (SYC-UR/UI), it can remotely transmit the position signal of the liquid level. By using our LED-WP series DFD/DFQ intelligent handheld controller, we can achieve the goal of automatic machine level measurement.
Liquid level gauge is a reliable and safe detection instrument. Due to its magnetic coupling isolation and sealing structure, it is particularly suitable for detecting the liquid level of flammable, explosive, corrosive and toxic media, making the liquid level detection method in complex environments simple, reliable and safe.
The liquid level gauge has a direct reading characteristic of on-site display, which does not require multiple sets of liquid level gauges to be combined, and has a single unit for full range measurement. The device has advantages such as fewer openings, clear display, prominent markings, and accurate readings. When the liquid level gauge is directly equipped with a display instrument, the intermediate transmission of the system signal detection can be eliminated, thereby improving the transmission accuracy.

working principle
The liquid level gauge adopts the principle of a connector, so that the liquid changes in the container are equally introduced into the main tube of the liquid level gauge. The floating ball component floating inside the main tube is based on the principles of buoyancy and magnetic coupling. Adjacent to the main tube is a flip column with magnetic reflection as a display of the liquid level position. As the liquid level inside the main tube changes, the height of the floating ball component also changes accordingly, causing the flip column outside the main tube to flip 180 degrees. When the liquid level rises, the flip column changes from white to red, and when the liquid level drops, the flip column changes from red to white. The red boundary of the display is the actual height of the medium liquid level inside the container (as shown in Figure 1)

Application Notice
  1. It is recommended to install a shut-off valve between the side mounted liquid level gauge and the upper and lower distribution pipes of the tested container to open or close the liquid level, which also facilitates the maintenance of the liquid level gauge. When the upper and lower shut-off valves are closed, the bottom drain flange of the level gauge can be opened or the drain screw can be removed, and water can be injected to clean the main body and float of the level gauge.
  2. Install a level gauge with a flange center perpendicularity of less than 4 °/m. When the measurement range of the level gauge is greater than 3 meters, it is necessary to consider adding a middle reinforcement flange (or) as a fixed support to increase strength.
  3. When connecting the remote liquid level transmitter and the secondary instrument, it is required that the cross-sectional area of the core wire of the connection should be greater than 0.8mm2. When laying in parallel with the AC power supply, a distance of at least 20CM should be maintained. It is best to lay it separately through iron pipes or use a shielding layer, and only one end can be grounded.
  4. Choose a liquid level controller with a contact capacity designed for resistive loads. If non resistive or high-power loads are used, intermediate relays should be used for conversion.
  5. This level gauge should not be used in situations where there are suspended impurities and magnetic substances in the liquid medium (as it may cause blockage to the floating ball)
  6. The "L1" in the external dimension structure diagram is the "sinking distance" of this liquid level gauge. This parameter is related to the density of the medium and must be understood by the user. According to the principle of buoyancy and the relationship between the length of the floating ball and the density of the medium, it is necessary to consider that different media have different L1 values when shaping.


Installation, use, and maintenance
  1. The installation of the liquid level gauge must be vertical to ensure that the float component can move up and down freely within the main pipe
  2. It is best to install a shut-off valve between the container connection flange and the level gauge to facilitate cleaning and maintenance of the level gauge and cut off the material.
  3. There must be no magnetic conductor near the main tube of the liquid level gauge, otherwise it will directly affect the normal operation of the liquid level gauge.
  4. After the installation of the liquid level gauge is completed, it needs to be calibrated with magnetic steel. Guide the flip column once to display white below the other position and red above the other position.
  5. When the liquid level gauge is put into operation, the cut-off valve of the liquid inlet pipe should be opened first to allow the liquid medium to enter the main pipe smoothly, avoiding the rapid rise of the liquid medium with the floating ball component, which may cause column flipping and disorderly flipping.
Due to the need to prevent damage to the floating ball components during transportation, the floating ball components are removed from the main pipe before leaving the factory. After the liquid level installation is completed, the bottom drain flange is opened, and then the heavy end of the floating ball component is inserted into the main pipe, and the drain flange is tightened to put it into operation. According to the condition of the medium, the drainage flange can be opened regularly to clean the main part
