It is divided into two categories, one is natural environmental exposure testing, and the other is artificial accelerated simulated salt spray environmental testing. The artificial simulation of salt spray environment test is a testing equipment with a certain volume space - salt spray test chamber, which uses manual methods to create a salt spray environment in its volume space to assess the quality of the product's salt spray corrosion resistance performance. Compared with the natural environment, the chloride salt concentration in its salt spray environment can be several times or tens of times higher than the salt spray content in general natural environments, greatly increasing the corrosion rate. The time required to obtain the results of salt spray testing on products is also greatly shortened. If a product sample is tested under natural exposure conditions, it may take up to 1 year for it to corrode, while testing under artificial simulated salt spray conditions only takes 24 hours to obtain similar results.

(1) Neutral salt spray test is an accelerated corrosion testing method that has been widely used in various fields since its earliest emergence. It uses 5% sodium chloride saline solution, and the solution PH value is adjusted in the neutral range (6-7) as the solution for spray. The experimental temperature is set at 35 ℃, and the settling rate of salt spray is required to be between 1-2ml/80cm2. h.
(2) The acetic acid salt spray test involves adding some glacial acetic acid to a 5% sodium chloride solution to reduce the pH value of the solution to around 3, causing the solution to become acidic. The resulting salt spray also changes from neutral to acidic. Its corrosion rate is about three times faster than the NSS test.
(3) The copper salt accelerated acetate salt spray test is a recently developed rapid salt spray corrosion test abroad. The test temperature is 50 ℃, and a small amount of copper salt - copper chloride - is added to the salt solution to strongly induce corrosion. Its corrosion rate is approximately 8 times that of the NSS test.
(4) The alternating salt spray test is a comprehensive salt spray test, which is actually a neutral salt spray test plus a constant humidity and heat test. It is mainly used for cavity type whole machine products, and through the infiltration of humid environment, salt spray corrosion not only occurs on the surface of the product, but also inside the product. It alternates the product between two environmental conditions of salt spray and humid heat, and then evaluates whether there are any changes in the electrical and mechanical properties of the entire product.
The overall molding of the box structure is made by high-temperature welding, which is corrosion-resistant, easy to clean, and has no leakage phenomenon.
The tower spray system is equipped with a salt liquid filtration system, without a crystallization nozzle, the salt spray is evenly distributed, and the sedimentation is freely adjusted.

Internal structure of saltwater corrosion test chamber
1. Spray device: tower spray, with a glass nozzle inside, the spray is guided by the tower tube, then dispersed through the cone, and then diffused to the whole laboratory after uniform dispersion;
2. Adjustment of spray volume: increase the spray volume of the conical disperser on the spray tower, and decrease the spray volume when it is lowered;
3. Collector: The fine mist sprayed by the nozzle settles in a free fall manner, and one or several funnel-shaped cups with a surface area of 80cm2 are built in to collect the salt mist. After condensation into water, it flows through a conduit to the measuring cylinder outside the box;
4. Heating water tank: The water tank is attached to the bottom of the laboratory and is used to hold water, heat up, and maintain a stable temperature in the laboratory;
5. Storage rack: made of plastic steel, with a single load-bearing capacity of no more than 2kg. If scattered, it can withstand a weight of up to 10kg. There are two rows of circular holes on both sides of the storage rack, which are used to place storage rods at 15 degree and 30 degree angles to the vertical plane.

1. Test box cover: roof type angled 110 degree transparent cover, allowing clear observation of indoor test conditions;
2. Isolation sink: Use a water sealed box cover to prevent salt spray from leaking out;
3. Measuring cylinder: collect the spray amount of each test, and 50ml each time is the zui high scale;
4. Saturated air tank: it is placed at the bottom of the control box and made of SUS # 304 stainless steel plate, which plays the role of filtering, heating and humidifying, so that the purified air reaches the saturation temperature and humidity and then goes to the nozzle spray. The saturator has the function of automatic water replenishment;
5. Pressure regulating valve: manually adjust the inlet pressure and spray pressure. The intake pressure is controlled at 0.3mPa; The spray pressure is controlled at 0.07-0.17mPa. (The above pressure has been adjusted before leaving the factory. Generally, users do not need to adjust it again)
6. Pressure gauge: the pressure displayed by the pointer of the pressure gauge is the pressure when the air saturated air bucket conveys the nozzle spray;
7. Recharge tank: automatically or manually replenish water from the saturated tank;
8. Mist exhaust pipe: a PVC rigid plastic pipe with a diameter of 50. When the salt spray test chamber is working, the pressure caused by spray and the excess water in the chamber also overflow.

Continuous or periodic spray is optional.
