SeaGuard tide gauge - SeaGuard WLR
The Andra Ocean Guardian Tide Gauge SeaGuardWLR is a sturdy, durable, and powerful tide level recorder developed based on the Ocean Guardian platform
Product details
| The Andra SeaGuard WLR tide gauge is a sturdy, durable, and powerful tide recorder developed based on the SeaGuard platform. It can be used for self capacitive measurement of tide level and temperature. At the same time, the instrument can also serve as a platform extension to add other measurement parameters such as CTD, ocean currents, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity. Simultaneously consider applications in both marine and freshwater environments. | ![]() |

| SeaGuard WLR uses a silicon pressure 5217 probe to measure the static pressure of water bodies. The pressure measurement is obtained through temperature compensation of seawater measurement data using an advanced digital signal processor. | |||||||||
| The working mode of SeaGuard WLR meter is fixed installation, or installed on the shallow seabed, or installed on a fixed structure in the water. Typical applications include measuring waves and tides in ports, shipping meteorological forecasting, climate research, etc. The measurement of tides is the average value of fluid static pressure over a period of time (10 seconds to 8 minutes, set by the user), with measurement intervals ranging from 2 seconds to 2 hours. | |||||||||
| SeaGuard WLRThe output parameters are tidal pressure, tidal level, pressure, and temperature. The instrument directly calculates tidal level data based on the fixed atmospheric pressure and salinity values selected by the user. If the user has real pressure and salinity data, it can also be corrected through post-processing methods. Tidal pressure is the average static pressure of a water body over a period of time. | |||||||||
| The SeaGuard WLR has two battery compartments that can be used for long-term deployment and can use Andra real-time data acquisition software for real-time data collection. The Ocean Guardian tide gauge can be equipped with a conductivity sensor to calculate salinity, density, and sound velocity. | |||||||||
