working principle:
The SE series single and twin screw extruder granulator is divided into single screw (SES) and twin screw (SET) types, with two extrusion forms: front discharge and side discharge. Twin screws are further divided into meshing and separation types. Select screw extrusion granulators with different structural forms based on material properties and granulation requirements.
Wet materials or materials with low softening points (generally less than 60 ℃) that have been mixed and kneaded are extruded from the opening of the die template under the squeezing force generated during the screw conveying process, forming a strip shape; After drying or cooling, short columnar granular products are obtained, thereby achieving the goal of transforming powdered products into uniform granular products. The particle shape is cylindrical (or special shaped cross-section), and the diameter of the finished particle can be adjusted and controlled by the opening diameter of the template: the side discharge is 0.6-2.0mm, and the front discharge is 1.0-12mm. The natural fracture length depends on the bonding strength of the material and is generally within the range of 1.25-2.0 times the diameter. For pre extruded types with special requirements for length, the method of external cutting can be used to obtain relatively uniform particle products. In most cases, the granulation rate is ≥ 95%.

Due to the wet granulation process of powdered materials, the operating conditions for granulation and subsequent processes such as drying and packaging are greatly improved. Generally, it can reduce on-site dust flying by more than 90%.
By granulation, it is possible to avoid the phenomena of agglomeration, bridging, pulsation, and other factors that may affect the use of powder products. At the same time, it avoids secondary pollution caused by powder during use, greatly improving the physical properties of the product.
In general, the stacking density of granulation products is significantly increased, which can save transportation, storage, and packaging space.
For multi-component composite and mixed products, granulation can avoid component segregation and truly ensure the quality of composite products.
