Road seepage meterThe verification method is applicable to the verification of road surface water seepage meters in use. Provide on-site measurement and experimental research for the construction and maintenance departments; This product is a special research project established by the Highway Department of the Ministry of Transport to revise the "Technical Specification for Construction of Asphalt Pavement on Highways". The product in the "Methods and Index Requirements for Determination of Asphalt Pavement Seepage" is also a standard product in the new testing regulations. Complies with JTG E20-2011 standard.

The following instruments and materials are required for this experiment:

(1) Road seepage meter: The shape and size of the upper water measuring cylinder are made of transparent organic glass, with a capacity of 600mL and a scale on it. There are thick markings at 100mL and 500mL, and the bottom is connected to the base through a 10mm thin tube with a switch in the middle. The measuring cylinder is connected by a bracket, with an inner diameter of 150mm and an outer diameter of 165mm below the base. The instrument is equipped with two pressure iron rings, each weighing approximately 5kg and with an inner diameter of 160mm.

(2) Water bucket and large funnel.

(3) A stopwatch.

(4) Sealing material: glass putty, putty or rubber putty.

(5) Others: water, red ink, chalk, broom, etc.

3．Methods and steps

(1) Preparation work

1) On the roadway surface of the test section, select the test location according to the random sampling method. Each inspection section should measure 5 test points, clean the surface with a broom, and mark the test with chalk.

2) Drop a few drops of red ink into a clean water bucket to make the water light red.

3) Install the road seepage meter properly.
