MTS-207 is the most advanced portable PXI platform used for on-site testing and data acquisition systems. Its validated architecture has been deployed in multiple applications worldwide, including the MTS-206 Maverick missile system flight line tester, MTS-209 conventional weapon tester, AN/TSM-205B Hellfire system tester, and more. It combines multifunctionality and powerful PXI architecture functionality in a compact, ultra robust, flight path qualified enclosure. MTS-207 is an ideal choice for testing and data collection applications that require operation in harsh environmental conditions, including airport maintenance, back-end workshops, or onboard applications.

MTS-207 combines the advantages of PXI with a robust design, providing protection against harsh environments. The MTS-207 includes a shock resistant 14 slot combination PXI chassis with seven 3U slots and seven 6U slots. Slot 1 is used for a 6U PXI controller (2.53 GHz i7 CPU, 4GB RAM). Slot 2 to 7 can accommodate 3U or 6U PXI/cPCI instruments, while slots 8 to 14 can only accommodate 3U PXI/cPCI instruments. Slot 3 to 14 can be synchronized using the star triggered controller in slot # 2.

MTS-207 can be controlled through optional integrated LCD display and touch screen remote control and display unit (RCDU) or tablet. RCDU and Tablet PC allow MTS-207 to reach a distance of up to 25 feet without the need for a keyboard or mouse. MTS-207 can also be remotely controlled through Ethernet via any external device.

The internal circuit of MTS-207 uses four shock absorbers installed on the top panel of the equipment. The fifth shock absorber is installed at the bottom of the chassis to control lateral movement. MTS-207 also includes a power board that provides power to the PXI chassis and a microcontroller that supports MTS-207 intelligent functions, including monitoring system power and internal system temperature. The power board can also accommodate optional UUT power supplies, user relays, user measurement channels, and user I/O. The PXI chassis and RCDU built-in heater allow the MTS-207 to operate at extremely low temperatures.

The chassis adopts a hinge structure, providing access to the power board. The relay access door on the front panel allows access to the socket type relay of the power board for quick maintenance. The sturdy fiberglass casing can be upgraded to support the EMI/EMC requirements of MIL-STD-461.

MTS-207 includes two standard interface connectors for input power and utilities (display and peripheral devices). Optional interface connectors can be used for interconnecting RCDU and UUT (Virginia Panel Clicks or multiple D38999 circular military connectors). The front panel can be customized according to customer requirements.

The three fan components with four fans, along with an additional exhaust fan, provide assurance for the cooling system of the PXI chassis and internal circuits. The detachable intake filter can prevent dust and other particles from entering the equipment. The temperature sensor controls the operation of the fan, and all 13 fans have variable speed control, running at full speed at high temperatures (above 45 ° C) and low temperatures at low temperatures.

MTS-207 can be used for various chassis, including wheeled configurations with handles.
