IST-02 passive optoelectronic isolation interface converter, compatible with RS-232C and RS-485 standards, can convert single ended RS-232 signals into balanced differential RS-485 signals. The built-in optoelectronic isolator can provide an isolation voltage of up to 2500Vrms and is equipped with a fast transient voltage suppression protector. This protector is designed to protect the RS-485 interface and uses the advanced TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) transient voltage suppressor. Under normal circumstances, the TVS tube is in a high impedance state. When the two ends of the TVS tube are subjected to instantaneous high-energy impact, it can quickly reduce the impedance at both ends, absorb a large current, and clamp the voltage at both ends to a predetermined value.
