Working principle

The measuring tube of the flowmeter is a non-magnetic alloy short tube lined with insulating material. Two electrodes are fixed on the measuring tube by passing through the tube wall along the diameter direction. The electrode tip is basically flush with the inner surface of the lining. When the excitation coil is excited by two pulse waves, a working magnetic field with a magnetic flux density of B will be generated in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the measuring tube. At this point, if a fluid with a certain conductivity flows through the measuring tube. Induce an electromotive force E by cutting the magnetic field lines. The electromotive force E is proportional to the magnetic flux density B. Measure the product of the inner diameter d of the tube and the average flow velocity v. The electromotive force E (flow signal) is detected by the electrode and sent to the converter through a cable. After amplifying and processing the flow signal, the converter can display the fluid flow rate and output signals such as pulses and analog currents for flow control and regulation.
How to choose protection level
According to the national standard GB4208-84 and the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC529-76 regarding the protection level of enclosures, the standard is:
IP65: Anti spray type, allowing the faucet to spray water on the sensor from any direction, with a spray pressure of 30KPa, a water output of 12.5L/s, and a distance of 3 meters.
IP68: Submersible type, capable of long-term operation in water.
The protection level should be selected according to the actual situation. The sensor should be installed below the ground. If it is frequently flooded, IP68 should be selected. When the sensor is installed on the ground, IP65 should be selected
How to choose additional features
The basic model comes with display, 4-20mA output, and 0-1kHz alarm functions. Other additional functions can be added according to the actual situation.
Split installation: If the sensor needs to be installed below the ground or for other reasons, a split installation method should be selected.
RS-485 communication: If communication between sensors and other devices is required, RS-485 communication function should be selected.
