1、 Scope of application of cylindrical bending tester:

2、 Structural principles and parameters:
1. Working principle
The ductility of the substrate varies with different bending radii of the coating film. The flexibility of the coating film is determined based on its bending radius or peeling condition.

3、 Usage and operation:
1. Sample, apply, dry, and measure thickness according to product standard requirements.
2. Place the QTY-32 paint film bending tester near the edge of the experimental workbench, so that the adjustment handle can be freely operated and inserted into the template.
3. Select a suitable shaft rod according to product requirements. Insert the tester base and shaft into the air, and tighten it with a manual locking nut.
4. Rotate the adjustment handwheel to lower the support plate, insert the coating surface of the template downwards between the shaft rod and the adjustment handle, and press the template firmly on the support plate with fastening screws and pressure strips.
5. Rotate the adjustment handwheel to lift the pallet and make the template stick tightly to the shaft rod.
6. Lower the adjustment handle to the lowest position and adjust the knob of the clamping shaft on the handle to make the clamping shaft tightly adhere to the template.
7. Lift the adjustment handle steadily within 1-2 seconds instead of suddenly lifting it 180 degrees, and the template on the shaft will also bend 180 degrees.
8. Rotate the adjustment handwheel, lower the support plate, and remove the bent template from the shaft rod.
9. Sample testing:After bending, do not remove the sample from the instrument, immediately inspect the sample, and use normal vision or a 10x magnifying glass to check whether the coating cracks or peels off from the bottom plate according to the product standard requirements (excluding coatings that are less than 10mm away from the board edge), but indicate the use of a magnifying glass. In order to avoid misunderstandings caused by normal vision results.
10. The operating procedure for determining the diameter of the shaft that first causes damageAccording to the above operation, experiment with a smaller diameter shaft (from large to small) until the coating cracks or peels off from the bottom plate. Then repeat the operation with the same shaft diameter on a new sample to prove this result. Record the shaft diameter that first causes the coating to crack or peel off. If the axis with the smallest diameter does not cause damage to the coating, then record that the coating is not damaged when bent on the axis with the smallest diameter.
11. Experimental environmental conditions
To ensure the accuracy of the results, the experiment should be conducted at a temperature of 23 ± 2 ° C and a relative temperature of 50 ± 5%.
4、 Precautions for use
1. In order to prevent damage to the coating during bending operations, a thin paper can be lined on the coating surface of the template, and then inserted between the support plate and the adjustment handle for testing.
2. The test results observed with a 10x magnifying glass should be indicated.
3. The smallest diameter shaft rod should not crack or peel off, and in this case, the diameter of the shaft rod should also be indicated.
4. If the sample is an aluminum plate, its long side should be parallel to the rolling direction.
5. When the QTY-32 paint film bending tester is not used for a long time, all shaft rods should be coated with anhydrous Vaseline.
