（1） Purpose:

Dissolved air flotation technology has been widely used in water supply, drainage, and wastewater treatment in recent years. It can effectively remove oil, gel like substances, solid suspended solids, and light flocs that are difficult to precipitate in industrial and urban wastewater. Removing these substances can greatly reduce the pollution load, thereby meeting the requirements for discharging wastewater into municipal pipelines or entering biochemical treatment. And the air flotation machine is combined with chemical agents such as coagulants(PACperhapsPAMclass)With the help of chemical flocculation, this equipment can greatly reduce the concentration of pollutants in wastewater, whether it is in a continuous state or in an emergency state where the pollution load exceeds the standardBODandCODThe content is reduced, thereby reducing the cost of pollution discharge. Both the effluent and the floating slag contain a certain amount of oxygen, which is beneficial for subsequent treatment and makes the sludge less prone to decay and deterioration.
6. The dosage of agents used in the air flotation method is less than that in the precipitation method. When using coagulants as destabilizing agents, the method of adding the agents is basically the same as the coagulation treatment process. The difference is that the air flotation method does not require the formation of large-sized alum flowers, so the required reaction time is shorter

7. For water sources with low temperature, low turbidity, and high algae content, air flotation method can achieve the best results.

（4） Working principle of dissolved air flotation machine

The principle of air flotation, also known as flotation method, is to generate a large number of microbubbles in water to form a three-phase mixture of water, gas, and the removed substance. Under the combined action of interfacial tension, bubble buoyancy, and static water pressure difference, it promotes the adhesion of microbubbles to the removed small suspended solids, and then rises to the surface due to the lower density of the adhesive than water, thereby separating and removing the suspended solids in the water.
