How to measure

The powder has no fixed shape, so it must be put into a container or pressed into a powder for measurement.

Through container measurement, glass containers can affect the absolute value of the measurement, which increases the system error. The usual measurements are comparative measurements, which compare the difference between the sample and the standard, so the influence of the glass container is compensated for and will not affect the results. If absolute measurement is required, the instrument should be set to "powder" mode, in which the calibrated measurement will automatically compensate for the color effect of the glassware.

Since the powder is often mixed with granular blocks, which will affect the evaluation results, pressing the powder into powder is a highly accurate and desirable test method.

So now we have three measurement methods:

1. The powder is placed in a glass container and measured in the usual way. The absolute value obtained by this method may have errors, but the relative value, that is, the color difference result, is accurate and reliable.

2. The instrument measures in powder mode, and the results obtained by this method are accurate

3. The powder is pressed into powder and then measured - zui has high accuracy and repeatability.
