1color black
Colored carbon black can generally color plastics well, and can be selected based on its coloring characteristics or physicochemical properties. The selection of the type of carbon black used for coloring is basically determined by the required blackness of the finished product. Ultra fine pigment carbon black can be used to achieve coloring with particularly high blackness requirements; Products such as PE garbage bags, plastic bags, and cable materials only require a moderate level of blackness and can use carbon black varieties with lower specific surface area and higher structure; When plastic color is adjusted, small errors in carbon black weighing and batching can lead to significant color differences. Therefore, it is advisable to use low pigment carbon black with larger particle size and poor coloring power. This way, the amount of carbon black used can be slightly larger, the weighing error relatively smaller, and it has the advantages of better dispersion and lower price.
For gray plastics, using fine-grained pigment carbon black often presents a brown phase gray, while using coarse-grained pigment carbon black can produce a blue phase gray.
Compared with other organic pigments, carbon black has better properties except for difficult dispersion. The scientific amount of carbon black can provide good anti-static or conductivity.
Carbon black is basically non-toxic, but it is prone to flying and pollution, so it is often used in the plastic industry in the form of color masterbatch, which not only eliminates pollution but also improves the dispersion of carbon black in plastics.
Carbon black, as a pigment for plastics, is commonly available in powder and granular forms. Granular carbon black flies less, but is difficult to disperse, so powdered carbon black is used in plastic coloring.
2、 Application of UV protection
One of the uses of carbon black in the plastic industry is to prevent UV aging. Due to its high light absorption, carbon black can effectively prevent plastic from undergoing photo oxidative degradation under sunlight exposure. The role of carbon black as a UV stabilizer in plastics is to convert light energy into heat energy; Protect the surface of plastic from exposure to certain wavelengths of radiation; Extracting atomic groups to produce anti-aging effects, thereby preventing catalytic degradation. Ultraviolet radiation is particularly harmful to polyolefins, and experiments have shown that when the concentration of carbon black with a certain fineness is 2%, it can achieve * * * UV shielding effect.
The protective effect of carbon black on UV aging of plastics depends on its particle size, structure, and surface chemistry.
When the particle size of carbon black is small, due to the increase in surface area, its ability to absorb light or block light increases, thus enhancing its UV protection effect. However, when the particle size is less than 20nm, its protection effect tends to be at the same level. The reason is that when the particle size is too small, reverse scattering decreases, and further forward light will threaten the stability of the polymer.
When the structure is low, that is, when the aggregate size is small, due to the small geometric volume of the aggregate, it will enhance the protective effect on the polymer, which is also the reason why carbon black with lower structure is darker.
When there are more oxygen-containing groups on the surface of carbon black, that is, when the volatile content is high, it can eliminate the genes produced during polymer decomposition, thus enhancing the protective effect.

Attachment: Basic ideas for selecting carbon black
The first thing users need to consider before choosing carbon black is: What requirements do you want to achieve with carbon black? Coloring, color adjustment, UV resistance, or conductivity* It is important to communicate with professional technical engineers of carbon black to jointly evaluate the material system and select suitable carbon black varieties. The usual situation is:
For coloring purposes——Choose carbon black with high blackness and small particle size, but be sure to ensure that the carbon black is properly and completely dispersed, otherwise it will go against the original requirements.
Used for color matching——Choose carbon black with low blackness, large particle size, and easy dispersion.
UV resistant——Mainly used in plastics and rubber, choose carbon black with medium particle size and slightly higher structure, which has excellent UV resistance.
XMD2000 imported ultra-high shear grinding and dispersing machine
Grinding and dispersing machine is a high-tech product composed of colloid grinding and dispersing machines.
The first level consists of three-level sawtooth protrusions and grooves with increasing precision. The stator can be infinitely adjusted to the desired distance between the rotors. Under enhanced fluid turbulence. The groove can change direction at each level.
The second stage is composed of a stator. The design of the dispersing head also effectively meets the needs of substances with different viscosities and particle sizes. The difference in the design of the stator and rotor (emulsifying head) between online and batch machines is mainly due to the requirements for conveying performance. It is particularly important to note that the difference between coarse precision, medium precision, fine precision, and other types of working heads is not only the arrangement of specified rotor teeth, but also an important difference in the geometric characteristics of different working heads. The width of the slot and other geometric features can alter the different functions of the stator and rotor working heads.
