Structure and Characteristics
A plunger globe valve is composed of valve body, valve cover, valve stem, plunger, hole holder, sealing ring, handwheel and other components (as shown in the figure). When the handwheel rotates, the valve body drives the plunger to reciprocate up and down in the middle of the hole frame to complete the opening and closing function of the valve.
In the valve, an interference fit is used between the plunger and the sealing ring. By adjusting the flange bolts in the pressure cover, the lateral force generated by the compression of the sealing ring is sealed with the hole surface in the valve body and the outer circle of the plunger, thereby ensuring sealing and preventing internal leakage. At the same time, the valve opening torque is small, which can achieve rapid opening and closing of the valve.
Due to the use of non-toxic new sealing materials with strong resilience and high wear resistance in the sealing ring, it can withstand long-term high temperature and high pressure without losing elasticity, making the sealing performance reliable and durable. Thus improving the service life of the valve.
This valve combines the leak free advantages of a plunger valve with the fast opening and closing characteristics of a globe valve, making it a novel and widely used new product. Its superiority far exceeds that of ordinary globe valves.
Application range of plunger globe valve
1. Valve design and manufacturing shall comply with the provisions of GB12235 "Flange connected steel globe valve lift check valve".
2. The structural length of the valve shall be in accordance with the GB12221 series of dimensions for flanged metal valves. The length of the API valve core structure shall be selected according to the relevant dimensions of ANSL6110-86.
3. The size of the valve connection flange shall be selected according to the dimensions in HGJ144-76-91 "Steel Pipe Flanges, Gaskets, Fasteners" and HG standards.
4. Valve inspection and testing shall comply with the requirements of GB/TI3927 "Testing and Inspection of Valves" and API1598 "Testing and Bolt Inspection of Valves".
Installation and maintenance
1. The plunger valve globe valves produced by our company have undergone strict pressure testing and acceptance before leaving the factory. When in use, only the exterior and cavity need to be cleaned, and there is no need to disassemble, wash or replace them.
2. This valve can be installed at any position, and the direction of medium flow is indicated by the arrow on the valve body.
3. After a period of use, if there is wear and leakage on the sealing ring, the valve must be closed first, and then the middle flange bolts should be slightly tightened evenly until leakage occurs. It is not advisable to blindly tighten the bolts too tightly. During simultaneous replacement, precautions should be taken to prevent cracks and damage to the plunger and newly installed sealing ring.
