  • Atomic absorption spectrometer, also known as atomic absorption spectrophotometry, is commonly referred to as atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Its basic principle is to emit a specific wavelength of incident light from a hollow cathode lamp or light source, which is absorbed by the ground state atomic vapor of the element being measured in the atomizer, and the unabsorbed part is transmitted through.
