SP-LDE series papermaking green pulp flowmeter | black liquid pipeline flowmeterAn instrument for measuring the volumetric flow rate of conductive liquids using Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. In the early 1950s, EMF achieved industrial application, and in recent years, EMF production worldwide has accounted for about 5% to 6.5% of the number of industrial flow meters. Since the 1970s, the key controlled low-frequency rectangular wave excitation method has emerged, gradually replacing the early application of power frequency AC excitation method. The instrument performance has been greatly improved and has been widely used.
Advantage
1. Measurement is not affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, and conductivity;
2. There are no obstructing flow components or pressure loss inside the pipe, and the requirements for straight pipe sections are relatively low;
3. Series nominal diameter DN15~DN3000. There are multiple options for sensor lining and electrode materials;

Working principle and technical parameters

The advantage is minimal pressure loss and a wide range of measurable flow rates. The ratio of maximum flow rate to minimum flow rate is generally above 20:1, suitable for a wide range of industrial pipe diameters, up to 3m. The output signal is linear with the measured flow rate, with high accuracy. It can measure the fluid flow rate of acid, alkali, salt solutions, water, sewage, corrosive liquids, as well as mud, slurry, pulp, etc. with conductivity ≥ 5 μ s/cm. But it cannot measure the flow of gas, steam, and purified water.
As can be seen from the above equation, when the diameter D of the pipeline is fixed and the magnetic induction intensity B remains constant, the measured volume flow rate is linearly related to the induced potential. If an electrode is inserted on each side of the pipeline, an induced potential Ex can be introduced, and the magnitude of this potential can be measured to obtain the volumetric flow rate.

Corrosion resistance and scope of application

acid-resistant stainless steel

(1Cr18Ni9Ti)

Corrosion resistance to nitric acid, cold phosphoric acid, and other inorganic acids, as well as solutions of many salts and bases, organic acids, and seawater.

Poor chemical stability for sulfuric acid, sodium carbonate, chlorine, bromine, iodine and other media. Therefore, it is suitable for non corrosive or weakly corrosive media such as water, sewage, slurry, mud, fiber slurry, syrup and other fluids.

Molybdenum containing stainless steel

(0Cr18Ni12M02Ti)

For nitric acid, sulfuric acid at room temperature<5%, boiling phosphoric acid, formic acid, alkaline solutions, sulfite under certain pressure, seawater, acetic acid and other media have strong corrosion resistance. It can be widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, urea, and vinylon.

Hastelloy B

(HB)

It has corrosion resistance in non oxidizing environments and has good corrosion resistance to all concentrations of hydrochloric acid below boiling point. It is also resistant to corrosion from non oxidizing acids, bases, and non oxidizing salt solutions such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and organic acids. It is not suitable for oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and can be tested in seawater, hydrochloric acid, weak acids, and weak bases.

Hastelloy C

(HC)

Corrosion resistance in moderate oxidizing and reducing environments, suitable for measuring various organic acids and alkaline media, not suitable for fluoride and chloride.

Titanium (Ti)

Capable of withstanding corrosion from organic acids, alkalis, and other solutions, but not resistant to corrosion from relatively pure reducing acids such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. But if the acid contains oxidants (such as nitric acid Fe+++, Cu++), the corrosiveness is greatly reduced.

Tantalum (Ta)

Has excellent corrosion resistance, similar to glass. Except for hydrofluoric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, and alkali, it can withstand corrosion from almost all chemical media (including boiling point hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid below 175 ℃). Can measure solutions of concentrated hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, aqua regia, etc.

Platinum (Pt)

It has good corrosion resistance to various acids, alkali and salt corrosion, but not to aqua regia corrosion.

Stainless steel coated with tungsten carbide

Used for non corrosive and highly abrasive media
