working principle:

Wet materials are continuously added to the first layer of the upper drying tray of the disc type continuous dryer by the feeder, and the rake arm with rake blades rotates to continuously flip the materials. The material flows along an exponential spiral over the surface of the drying disc, and the material on the small drying disc is transferred to the outer edge, where it falls onto the outer edge of the large drying disc below. The material moves inward on the large drying disc and falls into the next layer of small drying disc from the middle feeding port. The drying plates of different sizes are arranged alternately up and down, allowing the material to flow continuously through the entire dryer. A hollow drying tray is filled with heating medium, which includes saturated steam, hot water, and thermal oil. The heating medium enters from one end of the drying tray and exits from the other end. The dried material falls from the last drying tray of the disc continuous dryer to the bottom layer of the shell, and is finally transferred to the discharge port by the rake blade for discharge. Moisture escapes from the material and is discharged through the dehumidification port located on the top cover. The moisture in the vacuum type disc continuous dryer is extracted through the vacuum pump port located on the top cover. Dry materials discharged from the bottom layer can be directly packaged. By adding auxiliary equipment such as fin heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, dry material mixing mechanisms, and induced draft fans, the production capacity of drying can be improved. Drying paste like and heat sensitive materials can easily recover solvents and perform heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction operations.

Organic chemical raw materials and intermediates such as polyvinyl chloride resin, polytetrafluoroethylene resin, fumaric acid, anthraquinone, nitroanthraquinone, para aminophenol, melamine, cyanuric acid, para aminobenzenesulfonic acid, antioxidant 168, chromophenol As, stearate, aniline, nitroaniline, dipentaerythritol, chlorinated paraffin, calcium formate, triethylenediamine, sodium benzenesulfonate, isophthalic acid, sodium dimethyl pentasulfonate, thiourea, oil soluble aniline black dye, acid black dye, etc.
(2) Inorganic chemical products
Light calcium carbonate, active calcium carbonate, nano scale ultrafine calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, white gray black, strontium carbonate, barium carbonate, potassium carbonate, lithopone, insurance powder, barium sulfate, potassium sulfate, microsphere catalyst, magnesium hydroxide, copper sulfate, nickel sulfate, nickel amine, sodium molybdate, sodium chloride, cryolite, iron oxide red, lithium hydroxide, nickel hydroxide, zirconium hydroxide, calcium phosphate, sulfur, etc.
(3) Pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and food
Amphotericin, Deng salt, L-phenylglycine and intermediates, cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, metamizole, cimetidine, vitamin B12, vitamin C, medicinal salts, medicinal aluminum hydroxide, medicinal magnesium silicate, caffeine, tea, flower extracts, ginkgo leaves, chocolate powder, starch, corn germ and other raw materials and pharmaceutical intermediates.
(3) Feed and fertilizer
Potassium carbonate, bio potassium fertilizer, protein feed, feed grade streptomycin, mycelium, bran, distiller's grains, grains, seeds, herbicides, cellulose, feed grade calcium hydrogen phosphate, etc.

Usage characteristics:

(1) Easy regulation and strong applicability
1. Adjusting the thickness of the material layer, spindle speed, number of rake arms, rake blade type and size can achieve the best drying process.
2. Each layer of the drying tray can be separately filled with hot or cold medium to heat or cool the material, and the temperature control of the material is accurate and easy.
3. The residence time of materials can be precisely adjusted.
4. The material flow is single, with no backmixing phenomenon, uniform drying, stable quality, and no need for mixing.
(2) Simple and easy to operate
1. The operation of driving and parking the dryer is very simple.
2. After stopping the feeding, the rake blades that transport the material can quickly empty the material inside the dryer.
3. Through special large inspection doors and mirrors, the equipment can be carefully cleaned and observed inside.
(3) Low energy consumption
1. The material layer is very thin, the spindle speed is low, and the material conveying system requires less power and consumes less electricity.
2. Drying with conductive heat results in high thermal efficiency and low energy consumption.
(4) Good operating environment, recyclable solvents, and dust emissions meet requirements
1. Atmospheric pressure type: Due to the low air flow rate and low humidity distribution inside the equipment, it is difficult for dust to float to the top of the equipment. Therefore, the exhaust gas discharged from the top moisture outlet contains almost no dust.
2. Sealed type: equipped with a solvent recovery device, which can easily recover organic solvents from wet gas. The solvent recovery device is simple and has a high recovery rate. For flammable, explosive, toxic, and easily oxidizable materials, nitrogen can be used as a carrier gas for closed-loop circulation to ensure safe operation. Specially suitable for drying flammable, explosive, and toxic materials.
3. Vacuum type: A disc dryer operated in a vacuum state, particularly suitable for drying heat sensitive materials.
(5) Easy installation and small footprint
1. The dryer is shipped as a whole and only needs to be lifted into place for easy installation and positioning.
2. Due to the layered arrangement and vertical installation of the drying tray, even if the drying area is large, the footprint is also very small.

Disc continuous drying process

Disc type continuous drying process with fin heater:

Suitable for drying processes with high evaporation intensity. On the basis of the basic configuration, a fin heater is added to introduce a small flow of hot air into the disc continuous dryer, which is used to absorb the water vapor escaping from the material during the drying process and prevent moisture from condensing at the top of the dryer and exhaust pipe.

Disc type continuous drying process with hot air system

Suitable for drying processes with high evaporation intensity. On the basis of the basic configuration, the disc continuous dryer is equipped with fin heaters and exhaust induced draft fans, which quickly remove the moisture escaping during the drying process by introducing hot air, further enhancing heat transfer and drying process, and preventing moisture from condensing in the exhaust duct at the top of the disc continuous dryer.

Disc type continuous drying process with dust removal device

Suitable for drying toxic, harmful, and environmentally polluting materials, as well as materials that are prone to floating, such as pesticides, dyes, and their intermediates. On the basis of basic configuration, the disc continuous dryer is equipped with a bag filter, fin heater, and induced draft fan to capture trace amounts of particularly fine and light materials carried in the exhaust gas, thus protecting the environment and reducing product loss.

Hot water heating disc continuous drying process

Suitable for drying thermosensitive or low melting point materials that require a drying temperature of at least 80 ℃. On the basis of the basic configuration, equipped with a hot water storage tank and a hot water circulation pump, using hot water as the heating medium, the closed-loop circulating hot water provides heat to the disc continuous dryer for drying operations, and the hot water is directly heated by steam.

Closed recycling solvent disc continuous drying process

Suitable for drying processes that require solvent recovery and drying processes where the moisture content is flammable, explosive, toxic substances that cannot be directly discharged into the atmosphere and must be recycled. If the moisture content is methanol, ethanol, gasoline, pyridine, petroleum ether, halogenated hydrocarbons, acetone, formaldehyde, etc. On the basis of the basic configuration, add continuous material entry and exit locks, condensers, solvent receiving tanks, and vacuum pumps. The moisture (solvent vapor) escaping from the disc continuous dryer enters the solvent recovery condenser from the top of the dryer, condenses into solvent liquid under the cooling of the cooling medium, and enters the solvent receiving tank. The non condensable gas leaves the solvent receiving tank and is evacuated by the vacuum pump. The cooling medium should be selected based on the characteristics of the solvent, either cooling water or cold salt water.

Disc type continuous drying process with return mechanism

Suitable for drying paste like, filter cake and high viscosity materials, such as barium sulfate, white ash black, magnesium carbonate, distiller's grains, etc. The wet material in the form of a filter cake is uniformly added to the mixer by a dedicated paste material quantitative feeder, and mixed with the dry material (dry powder) from the disc continuous dryer to form a loose material with low moisture content, which enters the disc continuous dryer for drying operation. Dry materials are discharged from two discharge ports. The dry products from one discharge port are directly packaged, while the materials from the other discharge port are transported by a screw conveyor and bucket elevator to the top of the dryer for mixing. On the basis of the basic configuration, a mixer, screw conveyor, bucket elevator, optional fin heater, and induced draft fan are configured to introduce a small flow of hot air into the dryer, which takes away the moisture escaping from the dryer and enhances the drying capacity.

Disc continuous drying process with nitrogen circulation protection

Suitable for drying substances that are particularly prone to oxidation, highly flammable, explosive, and toxic. On the basis of basic configuration, the disc continuous dryer is equipped with solvent condenser, solvent receiving tank, inert gas circulation machine, fin heater, inert gas replenishment tank and other equipment. Wet materials are added to the dryer by a quantitative feeder through a continuous lock, and the drying process is completed by moving from top to bottom. The dry material is discharged from the bottom of the dryer through a continuous lock, and the moisture escaping from the material enters the condenser from the top of the dryer and condenses into liquid, flowing into the solvent receiving tank. The cooled inert gas is transported to the dryer by a circulation machine, absorbs the moisture of the material, and enters the condenser for re cooling, forming a closed-loop circulation. Before entering the dryer, the inert gas must be preheated by a fin heater, and the inert gas storage tank can replenish the lost nitrogen gas in the system.

Process of vacuum disc continuous dryer

Suitable for drying thermosensitive materials with low drying temperature requirements, such as pharmaceuticals, vitamins, biological products, enzymes, etc. Wet materials are added in batches to a quantitative feeder that can withstand negative pressure. The vacuum pump is turned on to put the disc continuous dryer in a negative pressure state. Then, the material is evenly added to the dryer through a continuous lock for drying operation. The dried material is discharged from the discharge port at the bottom of the dryer. The moisture escaping from the material is recovered through the condenser and solvent receiving tank, and the entire operation process is carried out under negative pressure.
