pH electrode
A pH electrode, also known as a pH probe or pH sensor, is the part of a pH meter that comes into contact with the substance being measured and is used to measure the electrode potential.
There are usually two methods for measuring the pH value of aqueous solutions: colorimetric method (pH test paper and colorimetric dish) and potentiometric method. The potential method can achieve continuous online measurement and
pH electrodeThe only method for process monitoring, and the potentiometric method can obtain accurate and reproducible pH values, the core theory of pH electrode measurement is the Nernst equation.
The electrode used in potentiometric analysis is calledgalvanic cellThe primary battery is a system whose function is tochemical reactionEnergy is converted into electrical energy. The voltage of this battery is calledelectromotive force(EMF)。 This electromotive force (EMF) is composed of two and a half cells. One of the half cells is called the measuring electrode, and its potential is related to a specific ion activity; The other half cell is a reference half cell, commonly referred to as a reference electrode, which is typically connected to the measuring solution and to the measuring instrument. The most familiar and commonly used pH indicator electrode is the glass electrode.
A set of industrial online pH measurement system usually consists of four parts: pH sensor, pH electrode, pH transmitter, electrode sheath, and cable.

particular Point: Adopting advanced solid electrolytes and large-area polytetrafluoroethylene liquid interface, it is not easy to block, and the semi-circular bubbles reduce the probability of foreign object impact and breakage. The long-distance reference diffusion pathway greatly extends the service life of the electrode in harsh environments. The newly designed glass bubble has increased the bubble area, which can prevent interference with the generation of bubbles in the internal buffer solution and make the measurement more reliable. Adopting PPS shell, with upper and lower 3/4NPT pipe threads, easy installation, no need for sheath, saving installation costs. The electrode adopts high-quality low-noise cable, which can ensure signal output length greater than 20 meters without interference. |
