RODTOXIt is a high-precision, easy-to-use, and stable online instrument. Main principles

RODTOXIt mainly consists of two parts: microorganisms and electrons. The microbial part consists of a temperature controlled reactor. The container is filled with 10L of activated sludge, which is continuously aerated and stirred once in operation, continuously detecting the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the water. Injecting biodegradable standard solution into the reactor can cause the dissolved oxygen concentration in the water to reach a peak, and the curve area and peak are proportional to the increased BOD value. The use of a large amount of sludge during respiration is a measure to control the activity of activated sludge. By comparing the respiration process of the unknown solution with that of the standard solution, the BOD value of the unknown solution can be obtained. By comparing the peak values of the standard solution before and after adding the sample, the biological toxicity in the sample can be determined.
