NSA 181/KHE, NSA 181/KHD, NSA 181/KHS are models that are equipped with snow covers on top of NSA 181/KE, NSA 181/KD, NSA 181/KS, and are suitable for areas with heavy snowfall.
Instrument principle:
After the precipitation begins, the precipitation sensor RS 85 emits a pulse signal and opens the funnel to collect samples. Open the funnel, move the lid outward, rotate it to both sides, and then lower it to prevent aerodynamic interference with the sampling process. The precipitation collected in the funnel flows directly into the collection bottle (E-type) through the pipeline or into a circular funnel and then into the rotary head (D or S-type) through a hose. The rotary head is connected to each hard polyethylene sample bottle through a drainage pipe and a silicone hose. When the precipitation stops, the precipitation sensor RS 85 and an adjustable heating component send signals, and the motor drives to close the collection funnel.
For NSA 181/KD or NSA 181/KS, the precipitation collected in the funnel flows into a circular funnel through a pipeline and then into the rotary head through a hose. The rotating head is connected to a single hard polyethylene sample bottle through a drainage pipe and silicone hose. By SIEMENS ® LOGO ® Program control drives the motor to lift the annular funnel, and the collected precipitation flows into the sample bottle through the connected open rotating head's channel. If the external power supply is disconnected, all switch points will automatically connect. The battery will immediately provide power to the timing and rotating head control, supporting at least 24 hours of operation to ensure the replacement of sample bottles.

Technical features:
The precipitation sampler is used to collect precipitation, and according to its own design and construction, it adopts one large capacity sample bottle or eight independent sample bottles for daily or weekly sample collection. After the experimental analysis and measurement are completed, each sample bottle can be easily removed from the equipment. Each measuring element inside the constant temperature isolation box of the equipment is made of chemically neutral materials. The box adopts an automatic ventilation design, which reduces the high temperature impact caused by strong solar radiation. The electronic control heating device for the funnel and sample bottle operates in winter. The direct material, funnel shape, and collection area comply with the recommended standards of VDI-3870 (VDI: German Institute of Engineers).
The cooling principle is to install an automatic cooling defrosting device at the bottom of the collector. By using a plate type evaporative ventilation cooling device, the cooling temperature can be maintained at 4~6 oC in high-temperature environments.
