PTZ controllerinstructions
1. summary
The pan tilt control system consists of a pan tilt controller, a bracket (to be selected by the user according to their needs), and a pan tilt that can rotate in both the X and Y directions. The gimbal controller adopts 1284 LCD display and uses a 4x4 matrix as a human-machine dialogue tool. In addition to the necessary interfaces for gimbal operation, the rear panel is also equipped with an RS232 interface for remote control or use with other instruments.
Attention: 1. The pan tilt cable on the back panel of the controller is designed to output 220V, please do not touch it.
To ensure accurate angle setting of the gimbal, it takes approximately 2 minutes. Please be patient when resetting.
2. technical parameter
2.1 Input voltage: 220V/50Hz
2.2 Rotation angle: horizontal * large: 350 °, vertical ± 70 °
2.3 Rotation speed: horizontal 6 °/s, vertical 3 °/s
2.4 Angle error: ± 2 °
2.5 Weight: 6kg gimbal, 4kg controller
2.6 Overall dimensions: gimbal with a diameter of 180mm × 280mm
Controller: 290mm (h) × 220mm (a) × 110mm (b)
2.7 PTZ load: 10Kg
3. Adjust the control structure
Figure 3.1 Schematic diagram of front panel structure Figure 3.2 Schematic diagram of rear panel structure
3.1 Power switch
Press the power switch to turn on the controller, and at the same time, the indicator light of the power switch will light up.
3.2 LCD display window
Display the working mode or rotation angle of the gimbal.
3. Three keyboards
The keyboard adopts a 4x4 matrix keyboard, including 10 numerical setting keys from 0-9, as well as 6 control keys for tilt, tilt, left turn, right turn, automatic rotation (horizontal direction), and start (stop). The specific operation method can be found in the panel operation instructions.
3.4 PTZ connection plug
This interface is mainly used for power supply during pan tilt operation, and its output is around 220V. Be careful when using it
3.5 RS232 interface
Through this interface, remote control of the gimbal can be achieved or used together with other instruments.
3.6 Fuse holder
Install a 3A blown fuse.
3. 7 power sockets
Input 220V, 50Hz AC power.
3.8 Grounding Pile
Used for common ground connection with other instruments.
4. Introduction to Working Mode
The gimbal can operate in automatic mode or setting mode under the control of the controller.
4.1 Automatic working mode
The automatic working mode is controlled by the controller to automatically turn left, right, tilt, tilt horizontally, and reset the pan tilt. After completing the rotation of the gimbal in the setting mode, it will automatically enter the automatic mode, and after completing the automatic rotation in the automatic mode, press any number key except 1-9 to return to the setting mode.
4.2 Setting Mode
When setting the mode, the corresponding angles in each direction are set to 0. The control of the pan tilt angle can be achieved through the combination of numerical keys and six other keys, and the pan tilt can also rotate in both horizontal and vertical directions through reasonable settings. The horizontal direction * large rotation angle can be set to 350 °, and the vertical direction * large rotation angle can be set to 140 °. In the setting mode, a single direction angle rotation can be set, or multiple directions angle rotation can be set. After setting, it can rotate in both horizontal and vertical directions simultaneously. Perform left rotation angle first and then right rotation angle in the horizontal direction, and perform pitch rotation angle first and then tilt rotation angle in the vertical direction.
4.3 Execution Mode
After setting the required rotation angle in the setting mode, press the start/stop button to enter the execution mode. After the gimbal is executed, it will automatically enter automatic mode. If the start/stop button is pressed during the execution process, it will enter the setting mode.
5. usage method
5.1 Precautions for use
a. Before using this instrument, one should first read the instrument manual and become familiar with the operating methods;
b. To ensure the long-term service life of the instrument, clean, dry, and ventilated indoor use and storage should be selected;
c. The power supply voltage should not exceed 220V ± 22V, otherwise the performance of the instrument will not be guaranteed;
d. In order to ensure the accuracy of the rotation angle setting, other operations should be performed after the gimbal reset is completed during the gimbal reset process
e. The rotation angle of the pan tilt cannot be accurately controlled in automatic working mode. It is recommended to reset or let the pan tilt rotate to the limit position after the automatic rotation is completed
5.2 Panel operation and usage section
5.2.1. Power on
Plug in the power cord, press the power switch, the power switch light will turn on, and at the same time, the gimbal will enter the automatic reset state. The automatic reset of the gimbal takes about 2 minutes. It is recommended to wait until the reset is complete before performing other operations.
5.2.2Key operation
There are a total of 17 buttons on the front panel. Including power button, 1-9 numerical keys, 0/reset, tilt, tilt, left, right, automatic/next position, start/stop. In the setting mode, press 0-9 to set the corresponding value. The power button has been introduced in 5.2.1. Below are the other 7 keys.
a. Start/Stop button
The start/stop button mainly includes three functions: start, stop, and mode switching. After setting the rotation angles in various directions in the setting mode, press this button to execute the angle setting of the gimbal in the order of first tilting and then tilting, and first left and then right. Press this button during the rotation of the pan tilt to immediately stop the rotation. In addition, this key also has a mode switching function. Pressing this key in automatic mode can switch to the setting mode; Press this key to enter automatic mode for setting mode; Press this key in execution mode to enter setup mode.
b. 0/Reset button
This key has two functions: setting the value to 0 and automatic reset function. In automatic mode, pressing this key * * times will automatically reset the gimbal, but this key will be disabled during the reset process. Press this button in automatic mode (left turn or right turn or tilt or tilt or auto) to stop the automatic rotation of the gimbal and enter the setting mode.
c. Auto/Next button
This key also has two functions: pressing this key in setting mode will automatically move the LCD cursor down one position, making it convenient to set the rotation angle in various directions; In automatic mode, pressing this button * * times will automatically rotate the pan tilt in the horizontal direction until a stop command is issued. Press this button in automatic mode (left or right turn, tilt or pitch) to stop the gimbal from automatically rotating and enter the setting mode.
d. Bending key
This key also has two functions: in the setting mode, pressing this key will automatically move the cursor to the first position of the tilt direction angle, making it easier to set the tilt direction angle; In automatic mode, if this button is pressed * * times, the pan tilt will automatically tilt until a stop command is issued or it reaches the limit position. Press this button in automatic mode (left turn or right turn or tilt or auto) to stop the gimbal from automatically rotating and enter the setting mode.
