The Vaisala climate transmitter W X T 520 can measure atmospheric pressure, humidity, precipitation, temperature, wind speed, and wind direction. To measure wind speed and direction, the W X T520 uses a Vaisala WINDCAP sensor and ultrasonic waves to measure horizontal wind speed and direction.
WXT520 uses the unique Vaisala RAINCAP ® A sensor is used to measure precipitation, which can detect the collision of individual raindrops. The signal generated by collision is directly proportional to the volume of raindrops. Therefore, the signal of each raindrop can be directly converted into accumulated rainfall.
