metalRotameterIt is the most commonly used flowmeter in industry and laboratories, with the characteristics of simple structure, intuitive, low pressure loss, and easy maintenance. Rotary flow meters are suitable for measuring small flow rates through pipelines with a diameter of D<150mm, and can also measure the flow rate of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed on a vertically oriented pipe section, and the fluid medium passes through the rotor flowmeter from bottom to top.

Installation precautions:

(1)The flowmeter must be installed vertically, and the measured fluid passes through the flowmeter from bottom to top. The inlet and outlet must have a straight pipe section of 5 times the diameter of the instrument. For newly installed pipelines, the pipeline should be flushed clean before installing the flowmeter.

(2)Valves should be installed upstream of the flowmeter, and flow regulating valves should be installed downstream at 5-10 times the instrument diameter. For small-diameter instruments, a filter should be installed upstream. If the measured medium contains magnetic substances, a magnetic filter should be installed before the flowmeter.

(3)For the convenience of maintenance and replacement of flow meters, a bypass pipeline needs to be connected during instrument installation.

(4)When the measured medium is dirty, the tube and float should be cleaned in a timely manner.

(5)The measurement accuracy of a metal rotor flowmeter is generally level 1.5. When high measurement accuracy is required, it is not advisable to choose a metal tube rotor flowmeter.
