Product Introduction
At the beginning of sample testing, the built-in pump of 431-X accurately and quantitatively extracts the air flowing through the gold foil sensor. Mercury in the sample adsorbs and aggregates onto the sensor, and the analyzer records the change in resistance and converts it into mercury content, measured in milligrams per cubic meter or micrograms. The results are displayed on the LCD screen.
431-X can be equipped with a communication device for recording data, connecting to a computer, and conducting dose analysis. When conducting on-site inspections, if data needs to be recorded, the JEROME data logger can be plugged into the 431-X. The JEROME Communication Interface (JCI) software will serve as an interface to transfer recorded data from the JEROME 431-X analyzer and data logger to an IBM compatible personal computer for analysis, printing, and storage. JCI software can also program analyzers to achieve single machine monitoring.
JEROME's gold wire coil dosimeter, in combination with a low flow pump and 431-X equipped with a communication device, can provide a time weighted average of personal mercury exposure dose. These dosimeters can be reused and users can perform mercury exposure dose analysis themselves. At the same time, they can also be used as collection devices for airflow analysis and other purposes.
431-X has features that early models of JEROME instruments did not possess. For example, an analyzer connected to a data logger or computer will automatically restore the sensor and resample it when it is saturated. The improved gold foil restoration circuit can extend the service life of the sensor.
