Test cable
RF cables in wafer level measurement systems must meet many special requirements: optimal cable length, weight, amplitude and phase stability, temperature range, and male connector design. MPI engineers focus on optimizing cable solutions and consider all of the above requirements, therefore working closely with leading cable manufacturers. Therefore, MPI can provide two series of RF cables - high-end MMC and entry-level MRC - covering the entire frequency range starting from 18 GHz. This enables engineers to select the optimal system configuration based on the required measurement accuracy and budget constraints. The cable assembly provides two standard lengths of 120 centimeters and 80 centimeters to match the operating trajectory of the probe system and the positioning of the VNA.

The waveguide section is used to connect the waveguide based RF probe to the output port of the VNA millimeter wave head (converter) used starting from the V-band (50 GHz) frequency. Due to the unified design, the MPI waveguide section is compatible with any type of frequency converter and MPI probe system. At the same time, they provide the maximum system measurement dynamic range.
