Product details

Infinite research potential

The Leica EM ACE900 cryogenic fracture system adopts a redesigned cooling concept, slicer, shield, electron beam, vacuum lock, and can also be connected to the Leica EM VCT500 to protect the sample throughout the entire cryogenic SEM workflow.

The built-in modern user interface eliminates any obstacles to operation.

Open up a new perspective

  • biology: Cell membrane, bacteria, organelles, proteins
  • IndustryCosmetics, food, drugs
  • Material research: latex, polymer, boundary layer, nanostructure, liquid crystal

Freeze fracture the sample for TEM (replication technique) or frozen SEM (transfer via Leica EM VCT500).

High reproducibility and proper specimen protection

The good combination of automatic and manual operation (fracture) makes the preparation highly reproducible and flexible.
All relevant parameters will be recorded.
The large frozen shielding inner wall, sample exchange chamber, optimized sample transfer, and frozen slicer will ensure comprehensive protection for the samples.

Connectivity and fast operation

  • Simply connect the Leica EM VCT500 vacuum freezing transfer system with the Leica EM ACE900 system!

The Leica EM VCT500 base can be directly connected to the Leica EM ACE900.

Through the Leica EM VCT500 shuttle tool, specimens can be transferred back and forth with the instrument under ideal conditions for final examination in frozen SEM.

High resolution images can be obtained in just a few hours.

  • The electron beam source, sample holder, and cutting tool all have corresponding vacuum locks for rapid processing of samples

No need to wait for the vacuum state to be reached.

Environmental responsibility

Our electron microscope sample preparation system not only meets high technical and ergonomic requirements, but also places great emphasis on reducing environmental impact.

What does this mean for Leica EM ACE900

  • The consumption of LN2 during the cooling process has decreased by about 87% compared to the previous instrument.
  • The consumption of LN2 per hour for freezing work has decreased by about 58% compared to previous instruments.
  • The cooling time required to meet operational requirements has been reduced by approximately 33% compared to previous instruments.
  • The smaller appearance of the instrument reduces packaging, logistics, and shipping costs.
  • The environmental management system DIN EN ISO 14001 has been implemented.

We take responsible actions and obtained DIN EN ISO 14001 certification for environmental management in 2015
