Spiral conveyor is a widely used continuous conveying equipment. From the perspective of material displacement direction, it can be divided into two types: horizontal screw conveyor and vertical screw conveyor. This conveyor is used in metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry, grain and mechanical processing departments, mainly for horizontal and vertical transportation of various loose materials such as powders, granules and small pieces. It has the advantages of strong sealing, safe and convenient operation, and can be loaded and unloaded at multiple points in the middle. Spiral conveyors should not transport special materials that are prone to deterioration, high viscosity, clumping, high temperature, pressure resistance, or significant corrosiveness.
The head and tail bearings of the conveyor are moved outside the shell, and the suspension bearings use sliding bearings with dust-proof sealing devices. The bearing shells are generally made of powder metallurgy, and the cement is transported using felt bearing shells. The suspension shaft and screw shaft are connected by sliding blocks. When disassembling the screw, the driving device does not need to be moved, and when disassembling the suspension bearings, the screw does not need to be moved. The cover plate can lubricate the suspension bearings without disassembling. The whole machine has high reliability, long service life, strong adaptability, and easy installation and maintenance.
Working principle of screw conveyor
Spiral conveyor is a type of conveyor that does not have flexible traction components. The rigid spiral blades on the rotating shaft push and cancel the material for transportation, and the force that prevents the material from rotating together with the spiral blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the machine on the material. It must have a horizontal spiral feeding to ensure the necessary feeding pressure. The spiral shaft has a thrust bearing at the end of the material movement direction to withstand the axial reaction force of the material on the spiral.
Structural characteristics of screw conveyor
The screw conveyor consists of three main parts: the screw machine body, the inlet and outlet, and the driving device. The spiral body includes head bearings, tail bearings, county hanging bearings, spiral, casing, cover plate, and base. There are three types of driving devices: YJ type, YTC type, and XWD type planetary cycloidal pinwheel reducers. The main task is to determine the selected spiral blade surface shape, which depends on the material being transported.
