working principle
LI-192 uses silicon photodiodes and glass optical filters, which have a uniform and sensitive response between 400-700nm, which is also the main wavelength range of light used by underwater plants and algae. The filter effectively blocks light with wavelengths above 700nm, which is crucial for studying underwater illumination because underwater infrared radiation is relatively high compared to visible radiation.
