BreathSpec ® The breath analyzer is a specialized instrument for analyzing human breath, which is easy to operate, sturdy and durable, equipped with a circulating gas unit (CGFU), and only requires one power source to operate. The instrument combines the high resolution of gas chromatography (GC) with the high sensitivity of ion mobility spectrometry (IMS), and can detect trace volatile organic compounds in high humidity matrices (human exhaled gas) without any sample pretreatment. The detection result can be given in just a few minutes, and the detection limit can be as low as ppbv/pptv.

Software
The powerful software developed by the company can analyze the fingerprint spectra of trace volatile organic compounds in the test substance, which is simple, easy to use, intuitive and convenient. The software includes LAV software and qualitative analysis software.

LAV software with intuitive data
Laboratoy Analytical Viewer (LAV) is used for data analysis and information extraction of gas-phase ion migration spectra. The software is compatible with data extraction programs on the Windows system, such as converting. MEA format to. CSV format and using the Windows system for data processing.

LAV software and related "plugins" have two main purposes:
Each signal peak in the gas-phase ion migration spectrum corresponds to the headspace component of the entire sample. The "Reporter" plugin installed in LAV software can compare the reference sample with the unknown sample to be tested, and users can easily see the differences in VOCs between samples at a glance.

The "Gallery plot" plugin is more intuitive for comparing the differences in VOCs in samples, and can be used to compare the presence or absence of various headspace components and the intensity of signal peaks in different samples, thereby identifying the similarity, authenticity, etc. of the samples.

Accurate and convenient qualitative software
The GC × IMS Library Search software can quickly and easily qualitatively identify unknown volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the test substance. The software has built-in NIST gas phase retention index database and G A. S. Migration time database, combining the two databases for more accurate characterization of compounds.
The GC × IMS Library Edit software can continuously supplement and expand the migration time database, and users can establish their own industry database to guide the development of their industry.

Direct sampling:
The instrument is equipped with a spirometer for detecting CO2/O2 flow, which can quickly and reliably sample, ensuring that the equipment can generate a database quickly and easily, and can be used for clinical research on different diseases.

Remote Sampling - Respiratory Sampling:
Actual breath sampling only requires one exhale. The test subject exhales into the sampler, and in the latter half, 5mL of exhaled breath is sampled into a regular syringe. Pulling the plunger of the syringe can be done by the test subject themselves or with the help of a nurse. If sampling fails, it can be repeated immediately.

Remote sampling - static headspace sampling of body cavity:
