The heat source of the preheater can be flue gas or electric heating, and currently electric heating is more commonly used. After the catalytic reaction begins, the recovered reaction heat can be used as much as possible to preheat the exhaust gas. In situations with high reaction heat, waste heat recovery devices should also be installed to save energy.
The temperature of the heat source for preheating exhaust gas generally exceeds the activity temperature of the catalyst. To protect the catalyst, the heating device should be kept at a distance from the catalytic combustion device, which can also make the exhaust gas temperature distribution uniform. In the catalytic combustion of organic waste gas, the organic waste gas to be treated can easily cause explosions when mixed with air at high temperatures, making safety an important issue. Therefore, on the one hand, the mixing ratio of organic matter and air should be controlled to be within the lower explosive limit; On the other hand, the catalytic combustion system should be equipped with monitoring and alarm devices and explosion-proof measures.
