Definition of chiller:

A chiller is a machine that achieves refrigeration through steam compression or absorption circulation. These liquids can flow through a heat exchanger to achieve the purpose of cooling the air or equipment. A chiller is a water cooling device that can provide constant temperature, constant current, and constant pressure cooling. The principle of a chiller is to inject a certain amount of water into the internal water tank of the machine, cool the water through the chiller refrigeration system, and then have the machine's internal water pump inject low-temperature frozen water into the equipment that needs to be cooled. The frozen water takes away the heat inside the machine, and the high-temperature hot water flows back to the water tank for cooling, thus circulating and exchanging cooling to achieve the effect of cooling the equipment. The temperature of the cooling water can be automatically adjusted according to requirements, and long-term use can save water. Therefore, the chiller is also a standard energy-saving equipment.

How to operate the chiller correctly:

1. Open the inlet and outlet gates of the switching well according to the scheduling instructions, and close all other gates.

Before starting the water pump, clean water should be injected into the connecting pipe on the packing box to lubricate the rubber bearings. After the pump has discharged water, it can be turned down. If there are water droplets, it is advisable to check the oil level at the pump bearing position to ensure smooth water and oil flow in all areas.

Before starting the water pump, check that all connecting parts are not loose. Rotate the coupling by hand to see if it is flexible and if there is any noise inside the pump.

4. When starting the water pump, no one is allowed to stand beside the machine. After starting, the machine should be observed for at least five minutes to check the equipment condition. If there are abnormal vibrations, sounds, or abnormal water discharge, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection. It is not allowed to leave the pump immediately after it is put into operation.

During the operation of the water pump in an industrial chiller, the following precautions should be taken:

(1) Check if all instruments are working properly and stably, paying special attention to whether the ammeter exceeds the rated current of the motor. If the current is too high or too low, stop the machine immediately for inspection.

(2) Check if the flow rate of the water pump is normal, inspect the water flow in the outlet pipe, estimate the running time of the water pump based on changes in the water level of the pool, and promptly contact the dispatch.

(3) Check if the filling pressure plate of the water pump is heating up and if the dripping is normal. Each shift should not be less than eight times.

(4) Pay attention to the sound and vibration of the unit.

(5) Check the temperature rise of the bearing motor. If any abnormalities are found, stop the machine immediately and notify the on duty dispatcher.

(6) Check if the grille and water inlet are blocked, and if the water level is too low.
