Industrial chiller is a type of chiller, which can be divided into air-cooled industrial chiller and water-cooled industrial chiller. A chiller is a type of water cooling equipment that can provide constant temperature, constant current, and constant pressure cooling. The principle of a chiller is to inject a certain amount of water into the internal water tank of the machine, cool the water through the chiller refrigeration system, and then have the machine's internal water pump inject low-temperature frozen water into the equipment that needs to be cooled. The frozen water takes away the heat inside the machine, and the high-temperature hot water flows back to the water tank for cooling, thus circulating and exchanging cooling to achieve the effect of cooling the equipment.

The water in the industrial chiller unit is pumped to the equipment that the user needs to cool, taking away heat. After the temperature rises, it returns to the water tank for cooling, and so on.
Air cooled industrial chillers are generally integrated units with evaporators, compressors, and condensers. For slightly high-power air-cooled industrial chillers, chiller manufacturers need to consider the heat dissipation of the condenser cooling fan during operation. In air-conditioned factories, the overall unit needs to be equipped with exhaust ducts to divert the heat blown out by the cooling fan to the outside.
Air cooled industrial chillers can also be made into modular units, with the evaporator and compressor placed indoors and the condenser directly placed outdoors. However, considering the heat absorption during the transfer of refrigerant between the condenser and evaporator, it is best to control the distance between the indoor and outdoor units within 6 meters. In addition, the copper pipes used to transport refrigerant need to be insulated.

Water cooled industrial chillers use shell and tube evaporators to exchange heat between water and refrigerant. The refrigerant system absorbs the heat load in the water, cools it down, and produces cold water. The heat is then carried to the shell and tube condenser through the action of a compressor, where the refrigerant exchanges heat with the water. After the water absorbs heat, it is carried out of the external cooling tower through water pipes and dissipated (water-cooled).
The cooling effect of the condenser of a chiller unit is slightly affected by changes in the external environment, season, and climate, while water-cooled chillers use a water tower for stable heat dissipation, which requires the installation of a water tower and has poor mobility. For industrial applications of low flow and low heat dissipation air-cooled chillers, it is generally recommended to use them directly as a whole, without considering their heat dissipation issues. For air-cooled chillers with high flow rates and large heat dissipation, a split type can be used.

Mainly used for cooling chemical reaction vessels (chemical heat exchangers), timely removing the huge heat generated by chemical reactions to achieve the purpose of cooling and improving product quality.

In the injection molding process of plastic products (such as televisions, computers, washing machines, mobile phones, refrigerators, air conditioners, plastic toys, car plastic parts, etc.), timely and effective cooling (cooling) will directly affect the surface smoothness and appearance qualification rate of the products, thereby affecting production efficiency, production costs, and enterprise profits.

The production of plastic containers (blow molded bottles) and packaging films relies even more on industrial chillers. If plastic containers are not cooled and shaped in a timely manner during the production process, the resulting containers will not be full, the wall thickness will be uneven, the color will not be bright, and even unable to form, resulting in lower product quality. Without the cooling and shaping of cold water (air) in the production of packaging film, it is impossible to produce qualified products. If cold water (air) provided by a chiller is used for cooling, it can not only greatly improve product quality, but also increase production efficiency.

3. Cooling of electroplating solution, hydraulic oil, and machine tool cutting tool coolant

In electroplating production, the electroplating solution generates heat continuously during the electroplating reaction, causing the temperature of the electroplating solution to gradually increase. When the temperature of the electroplating solution exceeds the requirements of the process, it has a significant impact on the firmness, uniformity, flatness, and surface smoothness of the surface coating of the produced electroplated products. Choosing to use the frozen water provided by a chiller (ice water machine) to cool and maintain the constant temperature of the electroplating solution will greatly improve the electroplating production process and efficiency.

The cooling of cutting tool coolant and the control of tool edge temperature will directly affect the service life and product quality of the cutting tool.

4. Pharmaceutical industry

The pharmaceutical industry is mainly used for temperature and humidity control in production workshops, as well as for the removal of reaction heat during the production of raw materials.

5. Electronic industry

In the production process of electronic components, it is necessary to maintain or cool the components at a specific temperature in order to control the performance parameters of the electronic components in the designed state.
