Immersion transmission probe
Immersion transmission probes can be used for online absorbance measurement of liquids. The absorbance can be measured by immersing or permanently fixing the probe in the liquid. The light from the light source can be coupled into a fiber optic bundle consisting of 6 fibers (customizable) through a standard SMA905 connector. The fiber optic bundle conducts the light all the way to the end of the probe and is reflected by a diffuse white material through a fixed gap. The reflected light enters the detection fiber, which couples the detected data into the spectrometer through the SMA905 connector.
In order to improve the detection efficiency of the probe, the detection fiber at the end of the probe is placed in the middle of the illumination fiber. All fiber bundles are installed in a flexible stainless steel sleeve, and the probe end is also made of stainless steel material. The fiber optic bundle is divided into two parts, illumination and readout, in the metal sleeve in the middle of the probe, which are connected to the spectrometer and light source respectively.
