Product details

Product Description:

ISDC Blackbody Radiation Source - Standard Blackbody Radiation Source - IR 2103/301 Blackbody Furnace adopts ISDC's proprietary high emissivity black coating, which can provide a uniform emissivity of>0.95 in the wavelength range of 0.8 to 30 um. The 0.375 "thick pure copper emitter board provides excellent uniformity and energy radiation. The transmitter board is embedded with an A-type "T" thermocouple to allow for independent monitoring and calibration of surface temperature. The IR-2100 series surface source blackbody has high stability and uniformity, comparable to high cost competitive systems, and has the best cost-effectiveness, with a cost only a small fraction of its similar competitive product systems. In addition, the temperature range of its activity area will decrease according to the environmental temperature conditions. Under normal conditions of 25 ℃, the temperature range of IR-2103 is -5 ℃ to 130 ℃.

The standard surface source blackbody is a standard equipment for infrared radiation detection, widely used in the technical index testing of process testing and identification testing in the development process of infrared detectors. At the same time, as the core equipment of the infrared imaging calibration device, the surface source blackbody radiation source, together with the infrared collimation optical system and infrared target, completes the testing and performance evaluation of key technical indicators such as the infrared imaging system.

Infrared System Development Corporation (ISDC) was founded in 1997 and acquired Graseby Infrared's instrument production line from Infrared Industrial (IRI) and Barnes Engineering Company. These products include blackbody sources, spectral radiometer systems, energy modulators, and accessories. Subsequently, ISDC improved and perfected many of its products, and developed various new products, such as infrared detector preamplifiers and TE cooled blackbodies. All products are developed and manufactured at a factory located in Orlando, Florida. ISDC also develops customized application systems and provides design consulting services for many infrared instrument and subsystem projects.

ISDC Blackbody Radiation Source - Standard Blackbody Radiation Source - IR 2103/301 Blackbody Furnace Working Principle:

A black body is an idealized object that can absorb all external electromagnetic radiation without any reflection or transmission. In other words, a blackbody has an absorption coefficient of 1 and a transmission coefficient of 0 for electromagnetic waves of any wavelength. Physicists use this as a standard object for studying thermal radiation. It can completely absorb all external electromagnetic radiation without any reflection or transmission, and this object is called an absolute blackbody, abbreviated as a blackbody. According to radiation theory, any object that is not at absolute zero (-273.15 ℃) will have thermal radiation at any other temperature. The monochromatic radiation emissivity of a blackbody in thermal equilibrium in the hemisphere direction is a function of wavelength and temperature. At a certain wavelength, the monochromatic radiation emissivity of a blackbody is a single value function of temperature, and the temperature of a blackbody can be obtained by measuring the monochromatic radiation emissivity at a certain wavelength. This is the theoretical basis of radiation thermometry, the Planck radiation law of blackbody radiation.

Blackbody radiation sources mainly measure the temperature of an object through the infrared energy emitted by the object, which is generally divided into high temperature, medium temperature, and low temperature. They are commonly used in the industrial and medical industries, mainly for calibrating radiation measuring instruments such as infrared radiation thermometers to improve the accuracy of measurement results. Blackbody radiation sources mainly use infrared radiation thermometers or other radiation blackbody measuring instruments to test and compare the temperature of the blackbody cavity, in order to calibrate other measuring instruments such as infrared radiation thermometers.
