In practical applications, many physical processes and chemical reactions are affected by gas pressure. Therefore, it is often necessary to conduct DSC experiments while maintaining a certain pressure.
NETZSCH has developed a high-pressure differential scanning calorimeter DSC 204 HP, which has a sturdy gold-plated measuring cell and can perform experiments under various atmospheres such as O2, N2, Ar, He, H2, CO2, CH4, etc. under high pressure. The pressure range can be from vacuum to 15 MPa (150 bar), and the maximum temperature for testing can reach 600 ° C. If equipped with a liquid nitrogen controller CC 200 L, the minimum temperature can reach -150 ° C.
The sample atmosphere can be static or dynamic. The electronic pressure control device and precise blowing airflow regulation enable the experiment to have superior accuracy and repeatability. The DSC 204 HP has good safety performance and meets all safety requirements for high-pressure experiments.
The DSC 204 HP is currently the highest working pressure DSC system on the market and the only DSC system capable of measuring negative temperature and high pressure. As a result, the product won the Global R&D 100 Award immediately after its launch.

DSC 204 HP Phoenix®The analysis and operation software is based on MS®Windows®Proteus of the system®The software package includes all necessary measurement and data analysis functions. This software package has an extremely user-friendly interface, including easy to understand menu operations and automated workflows, and is suitable for various complex analyses. Proteus software can be installed on the control computer of the instrument for online operation, or installed on other computers for offline use.

Oxidation behavior of artificial blended oil
The figure shows a study on the oxidation behavior of an artificial blended oil. The sample size is 3.0 ± 0.1mg, the heating rate is 2K/min, and the test is conducted under an oxygen atmosphere (100ml/min) and a certain pressure. The results indicate that as the oxygen pressure increases, the timing of oxidation behavior occurs earlier, meaning oxidation begins at lower temperatures.

DSC 204 HP Phoenix®It can be equipped with only an electronic pressure regulator for testing under static pressure atmosphere, or an additional electronic flow controller for working under dynamic pressure atmosphere. The instrument has a digital pressure display and gas flow control independent of the computer, and the pressure reducing device can be equipped with different adapters to adapt to various gases.
The instrument can be equipped with a vacuum pump, which can be used for automatic gas filling after vacuum pumping, as well as for testing under static vacuum conditions.
The liquid nitrogen controller CC 200 L can be used to conduct experiments at low temperatures or for testing at a set controllable cooling rate.
Most experiments typically use open aluminum crucibles or aluminum crucibles with holes punched in the lid.
