Overview of drum scraper dryer equipment
The drum scraper dryer is an internally heated conductive rotary continuous drying equipment. The rotating drum passes through its lower chute and adheres to a certain thickness of material film. Heat is transported to the inner wall of the drum through pipelines and conducted to the outer wall of the drum, indirectly heating the material film and causing the humidity in the film to evaporate and dehumidify, thereby drying the material containing moisture. The dried materials are loaded onto a scraper on the surface of the drum and removed from the drum. They are then transported to a screw conveyor located below the scraper, where they are collected and packaged.
Suitable for drying viscous liquid materials in industries such as chemical, dye, pharmaceutical, food, metallurgy, yeast, etc. Widely used in: dried products of Rice noodles, cereal, α starch, potato powder and other foods into flakes, powders and granules.

Working principle of drum scraper dryer
Drying process: Liquid or slurry like materials are allowed to form a thin film on the surface of a drum heated by water vapor or other heat carriers. The drum is dried during one rotation, and the product is scraped off with a scraper. The exposed surface of the drum comes into contact with the raw materials again and forms a thin film for drying.
The drum scraper dryer uses a certain method to lay liquid or paste materials on a drum (hollow metal cylinder) with a thin film of 0.1-1.5mm. The drum can be heated with steam, hot water, or thermal oil. When the drum rotates once, the material can reach dryness and be scraped off from the surface of the cylinder by a dedicated scraper. The drum scraper dryer generally rotates at a speed of 4-6 rpm. The drying of paste like materials is to adjust the thickness of the material and compact the material layer. A material compression shaft is installed on the side near the feeding device to evenly spread the material on the drum. To make the material easier to fall off during scraper unloading, a certain amount of cold air can also be blown into a cold air pipe before scraping to cool the material.

2. The thermal efficiency of drum scraper drying is high;
3. The drying time is short, and the wet film of the dried material on the outer wall of the drum is generally 0.3-1.5mm, and the entire drying cycle only takes 10-60 seconds;
4. High drying rate: Due to the thin film, the surface of the film can maintain a drying strength of 15-50kg water/m2h;
5. Continuous operation, stable quality, labor-saving, and the ability to obtain uniform products;
6. Easy to clean inside, easy to change variety;
7. Exhaust gas does not carry away materials and does not require dust removal equipment.
