The rotating drum screen in the garbage sorting assembly line system is generally installed upstream of the urban solid waste sorting system and effectively screens urban waste of different sizes. They have the function of dividing the incoming waste stream into two or multiple waste streams. According to the different particle sizes of the garbage components, the various garbage components entering the drum screen can be separated. The garbage drum screen is designed to screen materials according to their different properties and diameter sizes. It can be designed as a circular screen cylinder or an inner hexagonal screen cylinder, which can increase the primary bag breaking effect and have self-cleaning function inside.
Drum screen is used to classify waste based on the size of the holes in the long drum. Different sizes of holes are used to sort different types of materials (less than 80mm for inert materials such as sand, broken glass, ceramics, and stone, 80mm to 200mm for recyclable plastics, and 200mm to 300mm for paper and large plastics). Each component with a size smaller than the diameter of the sieve mesh falls to the bottom of the machine, while components with a size larger than the diameter of the sieve move forward above the machine. When moving, they fall into the discharge hopper in the direction of entry and exit, and are discharged better towards the surrounding environment.
Zhengzhou Zhongcheng drum screen is composed of a sturdy steel frame (section steel) and a drum shell, which also comes with corresponding track plates for feeding, residue and screening parts. The hood can prevent dust from escaping and can also be used to connect to dust collectors provided on site. The center of the sieve cylinder is the rotating drum body. The drum body is made of steel plates and cross-sectional steel. The drum body has been welded and equipped with traveling wheels s for its guidance and support. The drum body is driven by friction wheels to ensure quiet operation and reduce the operational requirements of the running ring.

All contact surfaces of the drive, support, and guide wheels are coated with plastic. Even at higher speeds, they can run the screen smoothly, and all driving, supporting, and guiding components have a long service life. The rotating drum is supported radially on four wheels. Two wheels serve as driving wheels and are equipped with gear motors. Other wheels are used to support the drum and rotate freely. All wheels, radially referred to as supporting rollers, are arranged in series. All wheels have a diameter ranging from 300-500 millimeters and a width of approximately 140 millimeters. The drum is guided axially between the axial wheels, similar to the main wheel, and is equipped with a plastic coated running ring. The main support bearings have excellent quality and moderate size, ensuring the service life of the screen mesh.
