1、 Product Description

Roller guide block is a precision linear motion rolling element with high load-bearing capacity and rigidity. It can reduce the overall weight, transmission mechanism, and power costs of the machine under high frequency of repeated actions, starting, stopping, and reciprocating motion.

Roller guide blocks can achieve high sensitivity and high-performance planar linear motion. Under heavy or variable loads, the elastic deformation is small and smooth linear motion can be obtained without crawling.

The roller guide block can improve the positioning accuracy of machinery due to its rolling element, a roller, being well guided during rolling and automatically centering.

The rollers in the roller guide block circulate in the base, so rolling guide blocks are used, which are not limited by the length of the machine bed. The number of guide blocks can be determined according to the bearing size and selected specifications.

Roller guide blocks have a wide range of applications. Small sizes can be used on linear moving parts such as molds and instruments, while large sizes can be used for planar linear motion of heavy-duty machine tools and precision instruments, especially for NC and CNC machine tools.

2、 Basic structure

The roller guide block is mainly composed of sliders, rollers, and turners. The roller undergoes infinite cyclic motion in the quenched and precisely ground slider. To prevent the roller from falling off from the slider, the roller is designed as a stepped roller. The slider is designed with a special slot, which enables the roller to have automatic centering function and does not deviate during movement, which is conducive to flexible movement under load and has a long service life.

3、 Accuracy

The accuracy of the roller guide block is mainly determined by the height of the guide block. In order to achieve a balanced load distribution, multiple roller guide blocks used in the same plane must ensure that the height dimensions of the same group of roller guide blocks are consistent. The height deviation range is generally 0~-10 μ m, and the height dimension variation of paired roller guide blocks is shown in Table 1.

The variation in the height dimension H of the same group refers to the deviation between the maximum and minimum dimensions of the height dimension H of multiple roller guide blocks used on the same plane.

When placing an order, please specify the quantity of roller guide blocks used in the same plane.

Manufacturers classify manufacturing according to accuracy levels. Except for level 5 accuracy, all other accuracies are classified and numbered according to height dimensions. The same number is assigned to the same group during installation. Users only need to specify the accuracy level when placing an order, without specifying the grading number.

 4、 Rated load and lifespan

● Basic rated dynamic load C

The basic rated dynamic load refers to a load constant in which a set of roller guide blocks of the same specifications operate separately, with 90% of them reaching a rated life of 100 kilometers, and the rolling elements will not be damaged by contact fatigue without changing direction and quantity. This is called the basic rated dynamic load.

● Basic rated static load C0

The basic rated static load is defined as the static load, which gives the maximum load obtained by specifying the contact stress constant at the center of the contact area between the rolling element and the guide rail.

 7、 Installation and use

The assembly accuracy and parallelism between the roller guide block and the guide rail must be ensured during installation. The common installation methods of roller guide blocks on machine tool guides are shown in Table-4. To fully utilize the performance of the guide rail block, the bed guide rail surface must be hardened to HRC58 or above, with a surface roughness>Ra0.4~0.8 μ m, and the depth of the hardened layer must reach 1-2mm.

To achieve the expected performance and durability of the guide rail block, it is necessary to ensure the following installation and adjustment accuracy.

(1) Parallelism between installation surface and guide rail surface: To ensure even force distribution on the guide rail block of the machine tool guide rail pair, the allowable deviation of parallelism between the installation reference surface of the guide rail block and the rolling contact surface of the machine tool guide rail should be controlled within 0.02mm/1000mm.

(2) Tilt accuracy of the length direction of the guide rail block roller: To ensure that the guide rail block does not experience lateral displacement or slippage during operation, the parallelism between the length direction of the guide rail block roller and the machine tool installation reference plane should be controlled within 0.02mm/300mm.

(3) Tilt accuracy of guide rail block side: To avoid lateral displacement and slippage of the rollers during movement, the parallelism between the roller axis direction along the direction of guide rail block movement and the left and right directions of the rolling surface should be controlled within 0.02mm/300mm. The higher the positioning accuracy, the stricter the control of tilt accuracy.

8、 Lubrication

The main purpose of lubrication is to reduce friction and wear to prevent overheating, damage to its internal structure, and affect the movement function of the guide rail block. When the operating speed of the roller guide block is high (V ≥ 15m/min), it is recommended to use N32 lubricating oil (GGB443-89), which is 28.5-35.2cst at 40 ° C, equivalent to the old standard No. 20 mechanical oil, for regular lubrication or forced lubrication of the oil pipe. At low speeds (V<15m/min), it is recommended to use lithium based grease (GB7324-94 2 #) for lubrication.
